Which might happen since in one of the interviews there is mention of adding a challenge for raid tier players every every odd patch. So instead of Savage-24raidraid-savage-24raid we might actually see Savage-24 raid and new Savage raid. So on and so forth with the requirements being you need to of beaten the previous Savage content in order to challenge it. if they do this it would bring incentive for Savage Raiders to actually have content to look forward to rather than needing to wait every 6months for the part they want to take on.

I can't see them adding an entire new raid in odd patches, just for that small percentage of hardcore raiders that would want such a challenge.

I could see them adding a super challenging trial in odd patches, though.

I understood it as sort of using an HM-EX-SAVAGE set of tiers instead of NM straight to SAVAGE as Alexander has been, or the EX only level found in most of Coil.

But, truely, if there is a tier that exists purely for the highest skill players to slam their faces against, people WILL play it, but it will die within a few weeks. Players will break down a strategy, everyone who wants to will beat it, and no one will go back again once they have the achievement.

Without incentive in an MMO like this, there is no reason to spend dev time of it.

I'm not interested in hard content in this game, because the harder it gets, the more annoying it gets.

Problem #1. The lack of lag compensation becomes more apparent, so that the ~1-1.5 second delay on aoe's and the sluggish use of abilities prevents me from feeling engaged (I live in GA, USA with cable, I have very low ping, the game is just ridiculously stupid about when to timestamp and display abilities).

    2. The ridiculous amount of memorization required for FF15 end game content makes it suitable for being a standardized memory test. You know why this game relies so much on endless variations of boss mechanics? Because the combat itself sucks so much they have to turn it into a memory test to make it semi-interesting.

    3. The chained rotation thing for DPS and tank is boringly repetitive. Basically all I'm supposed to hit button a, wait 2.5s, hit button b, wait 2.5s, hit button c, rinse n repeat. Extra chained rotations, basically the same exact formula, maybe trying to position yourself rear or flank of the boss in between playing dance dance revolution memory test with retarded lag compensation delay, and maybe with RNG-based whether or not you should be at rear or flank of boss.

Believe me I wish FF15 had good combat, I've put so many hours into it, hours where I struggled keeping myself awake and wondered what the hell I'm doing with my life playing a ghetto dance dance revolution sluggish cash register simulator. And if people want to argue I'm just not good, I used to be 1st place in PVP on my server in Tera, and I'd hold onto my ranking for multiple seasons in a row sometimes. I haven't done a single PVP in FF15, zero interest, because I have experienced the amazing "chase a random enemy and keep trying to hit it with melee attacks, but because FF15 has the worst lag compensation ever in an MMO and timestamp actions in a way that it'd probably also feel sluggish in a single-player game without any client-server communication, you end up never hitting the mother****ing piece of **** even when you are exactly behind him, directly on top of him, or ahead of him, despite smashing an attack button 5x+ times a second".

    I like crafting.

Note that the same applies to gear, glamour, minions etc - once you have it, there's no reason to go back in. That's just how controlling behaviour over extrinsic rewards instead of intrinsic ones works - the incentive is limited.

It's not unlike people who briefly delve into PvP for one or two wolf mark items (extrinsic reward) and then instantly stop once they have them because they don't enjoy PvP while other people who do enjoy it are capped on everything, got the mounts and still queue anyway for the lulz. In general, the more/better rewards someone needs as incentive to do something, the less enjoyable they consider that content. As such, the goal of content should be to maximize the abstract player per reward ratio as proxy of how "fun" a content is, since you can't exactly measure that directly.

my opinion for this ( we are currently at a11s, so we are definitly not a part of the hardcore raiders, but maybe an opinion from the midcoreside isnt that bad :P) is , that at this point we actually need something thats a bit more difficult , with this i mean, we need at least something, because why should we go for the bis if we need to clear the hardest content to even get to it, the only reason for the bis is in my opinion, only to clear content we already clear in a faster way since there is no content which would need or require this gear. sure some enjoy it and want to see themselfs on leaderboards but i dont know if thats the majority of those who beat it , dont think thats the case
as a midcoreraider, at this point, there is not much motivation to get the clear as it was in 2.x , since the story was tied to clearing it, now with the story mode we already got the story , so if there was something , we could access after clearing savage i think midcoreplayers would get more motivation to get the clear faster and work harder so that they can enjoy something even more challenging ( and for that , honestly i would love to see a fight were the boss is almost completly random so it isnt just memorizing the fight and then adjust your rotation to max your dps to get higher dps checks for example, but this is maybe not a popular opinion and definitly another topic )

A11S isn't really that hard imo.
They made this tier kinda easy.

People won't do it. Look at The Second Coil of Bahamut (Savage). Wasn't it only two groups that did it at ilevel? Only a handful before 3.0 and a few more since 3.0, but still not much? (I'm sure this has all been brought up already.)

An online retailer sent it out early by accident and I believe a store in Peru putting it out early as well by accident so it is entirely possible someone has put many hours into it. Though I am sure at this point that person specifically means FF14

D: I wish I had been lucky enough to get it early. However, I did know they meant 14, but the fact they consistently referred to this game as the title that is not even out (exempting the broken/early street date release for some), irked me. For me, it really undermined their perspective simply because they couldn't even make sure they were referring to the correct game.
