I have to agree on the desire for better customization of the races we do have rather than a new race at this time.

Maybe they can finally unlock features from being locked to specific faces now, at least.



They are completely dropping all ps3 support this expansion...

By the moment i'm posting there are 75% for more/improved Character customization in any kind and only 13% for Viera.

Not to say that your focus on the Ivalice Alliance for a new race is just rediculous and biased.

Putting Cait Sith ears on a hyur doesn't make a Miqo'te, and putting Ultima horns on a hyur doesn't make an Au'ra.

and when they add a Viera race they have to rework ALL the headgears to add holes for the ears. and how should a viera be able to wear the cait sith ears? or the bunny ears? adding Viera is a lot of work in regards of making hundreds of gear pieces we already have to fit them.

so i can see why we didn't get Viera.

Can people please stop bashing me? I'm not trying to do anything wrong to anyone, but most of the time people treat me negatively. I have asked people to stop multiple times, and they won't. I pay my subscription fee like everyone else, so please, you don't have to agree with me, but keep it civil.

We have enough races. Another Hyur with animal ears and a tail will not do good nor will add great variation from what we already have. Plus a new race will not easily fit lore wise. AuRa already didn't blend really well in Eorzea yet. They pulled the "trick" of the "outsider" race which appeared out of nowhere to explain Au Ra but it didn't quite worked very well and certainly it will not work again as it has already been used. I prefer more customization options for the current races than the dirty solution of a new Hyur like race with different ears and a tail.

Au ra make perfect sense, Doma isn't exactly a nation that is nearby considering that Yugiri and her people had to sail to Eorzea to begin with, I think once we get further outside of Eorzea in general /then/ they could add in new races but for right now it would be better to focus on what they already have.

Personally I would be thrilled with a miqo'te subrace that has both the sunseeker eyes and moonkeeper fangs, or hyur/elezen crossbreeds, more long hairstyles with better physics so they don't clip so badly, more facial feature options, the ability to pick horn styles seperate from faces on au ra like people have been wanting for forever.

The other point I have to make is that while I do /adore/ viera that is a tactics/12 race, why not have more unique ffxiv races instead? Again~ sometime down the line when we get to go to far away places.
