Won't this kill ARR and Heavesward content?

On another note, they mentioned that the battle system will change. From what I understood, we will be clicking less buttons. New battle system should be easier and I assume it will be easy for new players to catch up to it. Still need to wait and see how things go.

Not necessarily, seeing as roulette's are still there. If the roulette's weren't there, then I'd be a bit more concerned. On top of that we don't know what these will cost yet. If they're anything like WoW's character boost ($60) then that could also be an offset as well.

Not particularly. Alot of it has been dead already since 3.x released, so it would hardly make much of a difference. More than anything though, if they're skipping to a point in the timeline where they already passed said content, they shouldn't be allowed to access said content. It makes no sense to do it IMHO.

For players interested in that content, perhaps this would shepherd them towards FCs that are not so end-game minded, and have members who enjoy ARR content still?

I'm not entirely certain how that would work if you can't access ARR content at all.

Why would you not be able to access ARR, or are you saying that players who buy StormBlood and a leveling potion have no access to ARR content at all?

That really would destroy ARR content over time.

I'd also like to see a special icon above the character for the first 20+ hours that they play to denote their jumped up status - so people know what level of play to expect.
