I would rather them scale Ifrit, Garuda and etc to level 70 and let them become the midcore content we sorely lack instead of forcing us back into their level 50 equivalent with extremely overpowered gear. In fact, that could be a fantastic way to add more content into odd patches. Hardcore players get an extreme Savage while midcore gets Savage Primals. That way, we all have something to enjoy in lieu of relying on the current Savage to basically last through seven month intervals.

Wouldn't really be all that fantastic for the players who have farmed those EX modes during 2.x, if it's simply scaling them up to 70, without changing anything about the mechanics.

The leveling potion will probably be the only reasonable priced item in the cash shop, so we will have even more people who don't know how to play their job

As far as leveling potions go, they could still kind of force people to learn their roles, rotations, etc.

Maybe the Leveling Potion could open up a special quest chain. Completing each quest in the chain allows you to jump ten levels. That way, you'll have time to sort out your abilities, skills, spells and whatnot, and get the chance to use them against enemies. But I guess I can dream, can't I?

We know what the potion's going to do, but we don't exactly know the execution of said potion yet.

I'm curious where all the extra money for this expansion pack went if they only added 2-3 jobs, no new race, and less side stories. I really do hope they do a complete overhaul of the character customization. They added a lot of stuff in HW with a smaller budget.

Good question indeed, maybe they try to hint us in the wrong direction and we'll get a surprised new race ?
Remember people being disapointed when Au ra were introduced because they don't look like the concept so maybe they don't want that again ?

The next main SE game will be Kingdom Hearts 3, I would not be suprised if alot of the money went towards funding Kingdom Hearts 3. I do agree that it is strange that the next expansion has 3x the budget, but so far it looks like we will have less stuff. I think its to early, lets wait untill the other two FanFest are over, I think then we can a better understand what is going on.

Ok my fault exact same number of quests with 3X the budget. I just made a statement that since they are not doing a new a race and per rumor, having about the same amount jobs, where did all if the extra money go. I'm hoping they put it towards some major quality of life changes. We don't have much information yet so we can only speculate. I know they did a lot for HW with a much smaller budget so I would think if we are not getting 3x the quantity, then we are getting 3x the quality.

Yoshida is renting out two castles for Stormblood, probably, that's where the money went.
