The new concept art and screenshot looks amazing!! I'm really looking forward to the new 2.0 patch. But I think my friends won't be satisfied enough to start paying next month. I guess I'll have to hold on and hope they want to rejoin when it gets released.

I belive a video, showing a sneak peek of the new 2.0 patch, would convince more players to pay for what is coming.

Yup 2.0 looks breath taking... that's what it should have looked like at release. But no, i won't be paying for the game next month that's for sure. I understand why they want to start making people pay tho' as this much work is not free. They are basically making a new game from scratch.

If the OP is talking about Gladiator - they can't solo shit right now. They hit like they are attacking with a wet paper towel. I totally understand where this guy is coming from; balance is a joke at 1.19, and 1.19a not addressing it at all was a mistake.

and it's called FFXIV....

I'm done with this game. Yoshi-p and his buddies either have no clue of what they're doing or they just caved in to to all the FFXI whinners who keep begging for a clone. And well they have it.

The game was playable before 1.19. I had lots of good times, with friends and SOLO.
Now i'm doing 24 dmg everytime i hit? WTF? First they tell me it's because of old gear... fine i upgrade... guess what? Not much of a difference.

SOLO in this game is dead and with this latest patch they put the last nail in the coffin for casuals.

Other failed MMO managed to fix themselves over time with patches but SE just shot themselves in the foot with every new patch they put out.

If i wanted to have 10 of my friends help me kill a mob 2 levels above my own i would go play FFXI and not play another game pretending to be something it's not.

Too bad i really had high hopes for this and was willing to be understanding when they say we should try and get used to the new gameplay but this is ridiculous...

Edit: First off i didn't intend to say that Solo was dead in this game. It's there but it's not enjoyable. With my old gear it wasn't playable and now that i upgraded to non-dated stuff, it's better but it still takes forever to complete a leve or gain a reasonable amount of exp.

I understand MMOS are meant to be played together and i do whenever i have the time but the issues is that most of the time i don't. I have a 40h/week job, i have a gf and we go out a lot, we do activities together, i go to the gym 3-4 times a week for 2h each time. After all this i only have 1 or 2 hours here and there to play and at the rate i gain exp now it's just not enjoyable for me.

I play a tank and i want to feel the power of a tank... i want to be able to take on mobs higher then me and be able to take on 3-4 mobs at the same times. But struggling to take out a lvl 30 Aldgoat when i'm 28 is not my idea of what a tank can do.

i used to play wow and what i liked about it is that i could just logon and quickly get on with my things and the end of 1 hour i did progress quite well. I don't feel that i can do that in FFXIV anymore and this is what is pissing me off.

Am i doing something wrong? Maybe, but what? If gear is not the answer then what is? I used the same abilities that i used to before and which worked mighty well before 1.19.

Anyways... that being said.... 2.0 looks f$%#$ awesome... i did not see that coming. It may still be a year till we can get our hands on it but from what i've seen it looks worth it. Just hoping that they make the solo/casual experience a bit easier by then.

Some people are never happy with anything. It's in their nature, it can't be stopped. Usually just a lost cause. Unfortunate.

One thing everyone needs to learn about square, never ever get your hopes up. As they usually crush them with disappointment the past few years. Don't get me wrong loving the latest patch...really, and I'm excited about 2.0 but not expecting much. Why you ask? Just my recent history with their games, I mean for example, FFXIV when we first saw it, it looked amazing and look how that turned out, although if this patch delivers I think it was worth it being so terrible from launch, as it was our bitching that produced the "gem" in development.

Another example would be FFXIII, the game looked so amazing, but when I actually got my copy and played, let's just say I was less than happy with my purchase. Of course, this is just my opinion but all I'm saying is this, stop hyping 2.0 you're only setting yourselves up for disappointment. I really hope it turns out well, but with their recent history I'm on the fence until I see it.
