Why do people beg for cash shop stuff?

Well since a few weeks/months stupid arguments are winning so i will just use them, even if mine is pretty interesting and not that stupid you don't seem to consider it.
Players paying the same sub should have access to the same content that's all.

If stupid arguments will drop down the CS, hell yeah im gonna use them.

Instead of being equals you have people buying all those items and SE is too busy making CS instead of creating new content.
They should just put a way to obtain those items in the game as well, they are too many CS only items recently and that's a shame.

It's you who doesn't understand. We pay something called a subscription fee to play this game. It's this thing where you pay money to the developer every month to continue to play, and in exchange they develop new content to keep you playing. We are already paying for further development, including new outfits. The problem here seems to be that you don't understand what money is.

See I am not against the cash shop but why dont they just produce an add on packs inbetween the updates and expansions and charge a £10. Instead of the one outfit or one minion etc.

What some of us don't have is the means to acquire some of the things in the cash shop, which are clearly labeled "optional" and "premium."

I didn't say your argument was stupid. I said it was whiny. It's not a good argument against the cash shop, and neither is generalizing or hyperbole, both of which you seem to favor for your arguments. I'd rather SE keeps the cash shop relatively empty as well, save for past event items and mount recolors, but bring a good reason for it to the table, is all I'm saying.

I'm fine with there being cash shop shortcuts to glamours as long as they're available in-game as well (exceptions being the korean/chinese outfits that those players also had to pay for) but the notion of exclusivity and being forced to pay more on top of what we already pay to avoid said paid exclusivity starts looking alot more like the f2p microtransactions people despise.

Tl;dr A cash shop shortcut for those who don't want to work for it is fine to supplement income, exclusivity unless special cases (korean/chinese outfits) is not.

I already touched on this in my previous post, but exclusivity already exists in-game in various ways, not just in the cash shop. Examples I listed were Savage content and PvP: both have exclusive mounts otherwise unobtainable to those who do not participate in that content, and Feast Season 3 more so, since I've been reading the mount from it is only awarded to the best of the best, basically. I think it was only the Top 10 get it? EX primals have 'exclusive' mounts available only to those that do and clear the content (and are blessed by RNGesus). Nobody is "forcing" anyone to buy items from the cash shop. If people feel "forced" or "pressured" into buying a dress for glamour...then I really don't know what to say to them.

I don't think people should let this 'exclusivity' ruin their gameplay experience so much. It's obvious reading the various pro- and anti-CS threads that a lot of people get upset about the exclusivity of items in the CS. Even in the "No more region-exclusive items" thread has a lot of people upset over exclusivity (e.g., those beautiful Chinese and Korean outfits). While I'm glad they were brought over, and as much as I wanted them for my main, it wasn't ruining my gameplay experience that we didn't have them. And then there's the minions and DLC tied to physical products (e.g., Odin Statue and Zantetsuken emote; the Lore book and the Namingway minion). I understand people wanting minions and mounts and emotes and glamour (I am a huge glamour and minion addict in-game). But it's silly people let it ruin the way they play FFXIV. Just as it's silly how others berate those that spend $5 or $15 or $18 on minions or glamour for the CS.

Should i use the community argument ? "Glamour is the true endgame" but you can't access all the glamour, which means you can't access all the content.
Recently all the glamour added to the game have been done with the CS, the way SE is using the CS recently is just an aberration.

There, everyone wins. I am sick and tired of the "You must be poor/no job" BS that keeps getting thrown around
too. I can afford it, I'm sure a lot of us can, it's just some of us rather play the game and deal with RNG God's than fork over the cash.
I get a very good satisfied feeling when I earn it from playing the game. Others feel good spending their earned money or whatever in Mog.
I'll use my spendy money on McDonalds lol.

What I don't get is what makes these items premium? IMO many of the in-game glamours look far superior to the cash shop ones and look like more effort went into them. The Far Eastern Outfit looks like it was lazily thrown together based off the drawing, so what makes it a premium outfit?

I'm sorry that you don't have the extra money to pay for vanity items that you want. Really, I am. I was a college student once upon a time, too, who only spent money on food stuffs, and not on the things I really wanted to buy. But, unfortunately, such is the way of college life.


SessionZero has good points. The Cash Shop are "optional" and "premium" items, and most of which were available in-game before (past event items make up the majority of the items in the CS). The magitek and Bennu mounts are just recolors of mounts already in-game, one of which is handed to you through the MSQ. While the Scion outfits are CS only, they are optional. The Chinese/Korean exclusives had to bought by the original player base. It would be unfair for the NA/EU/JP/other player bases to demand them for free. Just like it would be unfair for the Chinese/Korean/other markets to demand the maid/butler outfits and OFC mount for free when NA/(some) EU players jumped through hoops to get them.

Patch 3.4 did add new glamour items (New World glam and the Cashmere/Ramie Ponchos). Granted, I would have liked to see more, but there are 2 glamour outfits added in-game. Does that balance out the 2 (Chinese outfits and Korean outfits) that were added to the CS? Also, a new hairstyle (Samsonian Locks) was added in-game. However, I remember hearing the outrage of how "unfair" it was to rely on RNG with the accursed hoard sacks to obtain it. New minions were added to go with the new dungeons, AND with Wonderous Tails. The only minions added to the CS as of late were all past event minions that were available in-game last year.

Like I have said before, people really should not let these things ruin their gameplay so much. It's just silly. :/

Buzzwords, probably. I agree that most of the exclusives in the CS aren't as good-looking as their in-game counterparts, but the fact remains that they are, on paper, optional and premium.

Edit: By counterparts I mean in-game glamour items.
