Squadron materia and scrip rewards

I've had anything from ~50 scrips to over 500 scrips per mission. When I had materia chemistry I got 8 grade IV materia in one mission. I have no idea what determines the amount of stuff returned but it may be the mission level itself.

I have similar chemistry (DoH materia) and few times my squadron came back with ~6 pcs of grade 4 crafting materia.

When I had materia chemistry I got 8 grade IV materia in one mission.

I got 6 DoH materia on one mission and 9 on another. Grade IV both times. (I think it always gives grade IV.)

I was on the third group of missions when I got 9 of them, and the second group of missions when I got 6, so it could be affected by mission level. But my guess would be that the number returned is just randomized (within at least a 6 to 9 range or possibly a bit wider).

Mission level does impact your chances, though, since higher level missions seem to have more affinities, so more opportunities to change your normal 10% to 40% chance into a 100% chance.
