Why do people beg for cash shop stuff?

I don't have a problem with a cash shop, not even in a subscription-based game, just as long as it's not pay to win. That being said, it's one thing to not mind it being there, and another to actually prefer to pay for things that could be free. Why people actually ask for more stuff to pay for is beyond me.

Perhaps there's a feeling that premium items from a cash shop would come at a premium quality? Or...

Because they think that it is the only way to get SE to implement the items in the game at all...There are somethings People want to have but don't know are even in the cards, and they think paying through the nose would motivate them to put it in the game, as well as a belief that there is no way to get the non-event stuff...

Because why would you choose to pay extra for something you could have for free? Would be like paying to go into a theme park then asking the workers on the rides if you could pay them an extra $20 per ride rather than just go on it for free.

Because, the Chinese and Korean outfits are nice and they were exclusive. And, people would just throw a hissy-fit anyway like when they offer the previous year's items during seasonal events.

Also, the server situation makes me think that SE would prefer to spend money on new developments and sequels, so the team has to fend for themselves to get extra employees and stuff.

Because if it's the only way to get what we want, we better pay for it or don't have it at all.

Not talking about something like PvP rewards or raid/trial rewards though. Those thing belongs to people who tried hard enough to earn them. But for optional outfits like fanservice outfits from other FF games, it's ok to ask for Mog station.

I mean, as long as it sticks to glamour then i guess I can deal with it. I personally am enjoying the glamours I do have outside of Cash shop so no need for more, though i did get the fan fest outfit tickets. Long as it doesn't turn into something where someone can pay $50 to skip the anima steps or instantly have Alexander raid gear I say more power to them. However I still believe it should ALL be in the game in some form for free seeing as we all are paying at least 12.99 a month.

See, this is why I personally avoid using real life anologies when making a point about a video game because there's always something left out. Like in your example, I could also tell you there are things in theme parks that are not available for sale but people will offer money for it. Its not like people can assume those things will come freely but I'm digressing here.

Point is: Its not available ingame. Its not there in the cash shop at the moment. Instant gratification is a proven concept. Hence the "why not?".

Also, these threads popping up, masking intent behind inane questions is also getting tiresome. I'd be more receptive to a thread overtly showing disdain to cash shop all the while giving constructive reasons as to why it shouldn't be here rather than...well this.

Which is why they keep spending time on more cash shop updates and less on engaging content, you get a large portion of the player base playing the game to not play the game

I hate both sides; the people who keep asking for everything to be placed into the shop and the people who constantly, at every turn, whine about the shop. I haven't decided which of you I hate the most, but I wish you'd both shut up for a minute. Not everything needs to be placed into the shop, but there's also nothing wrong with the shop as long as it remains a Glamour & Character Service Depot.

I'd rather the forums be flooded with threads about politics, religion, and Harambe than sit here and constantly pick through this drivel. This is giving me Super AIDS.

Soon we'll have more cash shop glamours than Blade and Soul, and their $15 outfits are at least a bit higher quality. The cash shop is just greedy for a sub based game. Actually, not even sub based, we are now a cash shop + sub + one time purchase game.

Is the cash shop money even going back to the game? I'd be more OK with it if it was more transparent as I don't want to be supporting some other SE game I don't care about.
