That's a bit much, I think. If the only reason you're subscribed is to get something that a new player won't be able to get for four years, I don't know what to tell you. At this point veteran rewards are less an incentive to stay subscribed than an exclusionary club for people to lord over new players.
I have no idea how they might change the system, but perhaps a system where every X days you get to pick an item from a master list of rewards. That way they can keep making more, new players have a hope of getting them, and everyone has a reason to stay subscribed. Win-win-win!
yeah why look unique when everyone else can have the same thing at the same time as you ? Man, showing players what they'll be getting if they stick around is wrong!! they must get these things right away and stop playing the game once they do!..... sighThat's a bit much, I think. So, three things. First, if you want to look "unique" by looking exactly like a previously existing character, you may be doing it wrong. Second, at this point there's already a decent chance this game will be a ghost town by the time new players get the last reward that already exists. If a player joins in two years and sees a six-year reward, do they really foresee ever getting that? Finally, I suggested letting people pick one reward during each reward period. Veterans will still have access to way more stuff. If people just always use the latest reward to show that THEY have it and new players don't, that's lording it over them, hence my first comment.
Lol, you're argument that people won't be able to get them is so weak, as the games riddled with so many items that can't be attained, past events, Mogstation, PvP and collectors edition etc...So, three things. The point of veteran rewards is to be an incentive to subscribe. If these rewards are unattainable for new players, which you seem to be essentially acknowledging that they are, then they are not an incentive for new players.
As a veteran player, I'm guessing this doesn't bother you, but it does limit the effectiveness of the system. If anything it de-incentivizes new players, because if they really want a Zidane outfit they can be certain that they aren't getting it for three years.
You're only thinking of this from your own perspective, please try looking at it from the perspective of a new player or Square Enix.

I don't necessarily mind either way. I'm not more or less likely to subscribe as a result. I'm more frustrated by the fact i had to buy the game twice (once for PS4 and once for PC). Due to the literal tight budget of my living this last year, i could not afford the $40 re-buy cost in one chunk at any one time, but i could always somehow scrape together $10 for a sub, maybe at the expense of a meal or two... but no game ... so i had to unsub for close to a year. As a result, SE actually lost money, and i will never get the final veteran reward no matter how long i play, if they keep adding new ones.
I still don't really mind either way. I get that some will though... particularly those wanting to get every minion or mount.

I feel for you on that, you can get a free upgrade from ps3 to ps4 but not to pc, it's shameful really . It also proves a point that items from Mogstation can be just as exclusive as veteran rewards
