Anything but a PVP reward, even if it's cash shop. The 30 minutes to 1 hour of work I do to earn real money is more enjoyable than PVP.

For those ppl who think mount shouldn't be a part of reward for ranked pvp just because they don't play pvp:
Why don't you post this in pvp community and see what will happen
Btw I don't play gold saucer but SE put a mount in that. So I just should ask then to put that in cash shop and tell ppl "I can't get that that's unfair"

Because that's how F2P games work, and FFXIV is not a F2P game (people can say it's F2P all they want, but 98% of the content is in the game itself, about a small smidgen of content is outside of the game, if you can even call it content).Really? Says who? You have a better reason? I explained why earlier. I'm not looking for any answers NOW cause I'm over it and rather pay for something then deal with grindwalls or rng period. But everyone is only looking at that one comment and turning a blind eye to what I said at the end. And that was... SE should do both. At the same time. So EVERYBODY gets the item how they want to get it. Why does NOONE want to talk about THAT part? Yes there's people who want to spend their money. And there's others who want to grind. Can't we do BOTH?

If it was pvp currency? That would be one thing. But it's not. It's about being best in a system that is rigged. People win trade and then stop playing to keep their high rank just like people do in triple triad. It's a racket.


Eh, I hope it's not added to the cash shop. I worked my butt off to earn the original Fenrir mount before 3.0. Granted, the MGP gains have only increased, but you still have to put in some considerable effort and dedication to get one. So, releasing a red version in the cash shop would make me sad.
That said, that would be pretty comparable to the situation with the Bennu mount (from the cash shop) and the identical Zu mount that you obtain via the airship sectors. Again, the Zu mount requires some time and dedication, while the Bennu is just in the cash shop... but the Bennu has the T12 music...
Speaking of which, if they give the red Fenrir special music and those of us who worked our butt off for the original Fenrir don't get it... then I might explode. :O

Except that few weeks, aether is pretty active so that's hard to just stand away and keep the ranking at the same time
Btw 3.45 updates something called rank decay for ppl stop que to keep ranking points

So, a lot of your posts kind of come off as the "ME ME NAO" mentality. If you truly are one of those people who could be called Karma's Toilet Paper (I know a few, it's kind of depressing how bad their luck in life is) then I feel for you.
Now, to address cammi's key point: Although your method of conveyance is a bit choppy (and the reason people aren't responding to the key point), I definitely feel that different options for acquisition of things is a good idea. Many things are locked behind the paywall of the Mog Station, or an extremely grindy and/or RNG system in-game. Sure, not everyone wants to or is capable of doing all content, and especially challenging content should keep unique rewards. However, some rewards would be better suited to have options for acquisition, or as cammi has stated: pay or play. I would personally suggest a slight difference in name or appearance to denote the difference between the versions, but otherwise having options is good (especially for items locked behind content that either is gone like seasonal events or impossible to participate like certain modes of PvP).
Just my $0.02 on this little portion of the discussion. Don't get me started on the Mog Station debate though.

Bleh. The way I see it, SE might as well make it so that cash shop items can be purchased with a special currency that you can grind for in-game. Much like tomestones.
Or pay a premium if you want it fast and pay with RL cash.
Win win for all.
