They 'listened' after we called them out on something multiple times, then just stood there doing nothing during the boss. We WOULD have killed it if they weren't being a waste of space. And this isn't the first time someone leveling up a class they knew nothing about has screwed over a run. And you can't vote kick more than once in a few hours, which needs to happen a lot once again the moment new content comes out (People demanding people skip as much as possible in palace and only sitting on the teleport thing for the next floor because they've done 'enough' on that floor)

Tanks can't tank, Healers can't heal, support just act like DPS and and DPS are just flailing their arms at anything that moves.

If you take out EXP, a lot of people would simply stop doing potd. While it sucks you came across a jerk. That's bound to happen no matter what you do in game.

I am not arguing that, but the fact that we have some classes which can support and choose not to because they have no idea of how a team dynamic works.
Same as a 4 people team WAR running around with Deliverance on just because he can do more DPS that way. As ridiculous as that sounds, it's the same we tanks, and healers feel about BRD's and MCH's when they rarely (or never) use their turrets and songs to help out with refresh effects.

How do you think people get familiar with a job? In your mind, how does that happen?

I'm asking because of an idiot in game who goes AFK during the floor 70 boss with no warning. They're level 54 machinst, and they died multiple times on the way to floor 70 (Once due to opening a silver chest a few seconds after hitting a landmine, when people should NOT be opening chests in combat/right after landmines), due to not really acting like they knew a thing they were doing.

Personally I hate that people can level up classes they know NOTHING about in Palace of the Dead, more so in the NEW floors, they're usually the biggest hindrance in the group.

Being max level and being an idiot are not mutually exclusive. Leveling a character and being a decent player are not mutually exclusive.
