    Dancer - Debuff Mitigation Healer

    Per the title. Dancers often invoke debilitating skills with their dances, so I thought that a good way to bring that into Final Fantasy XIV would be to have their form of mitigation (like SCH's shields) to be using dances to inflict debuffs.

    For example (based off of Tactics):
    • Polka decreases physical damage dealt.
    • Heathen Frolick decreases magical damage dealt
    • Slow Dance reduces action speed

    Like BRD's songs, only one dance can be up at a time.

    Any thoughts? Would this seem too OP?

    Would you care to elaborate? I'm not quite sure how letting a healer have access to an effect already possessed by multiple classes already (including WAR, who has access to 10% damage down for both physical and magical attacks at once via Storm's Path) would make everything "like Satasha".

    Yeah sounds really fun, and let's hope they be a bit creative with healing skill instead of copy the other healers

    Then brings in the question, using MP like a Bard to keep this buff or are we using TP? I'd assume TP as using a healers MP would seem silly but then a 2nd question on would a Bard/Ninja/Ast be able to keep a dancers mp/tp boosted to prolong the effect or would it be like a DRK's Darkside and prevent recovery till its turned off? I like the idea myself and I see a Dancer as a constant healer or debuffer for the group, but wanna hammer in the details.

    I'd honestly rather see Dancer as a tank or dual spec. Possibly heal/tank depending on what's needed. I think dancer tank would just be awesome.

    It would be TP, since, as you said, using a healer's MP would be...unoptimal. Same reason why DRKs use MP, not HP.

    It's supposed to be like a reverse-BRD, so you could use a TP-refresh to prolong the duration. The effects would have to be weaker, obviously, but at least on a micromanaging level it would be a bit easier to manage.

    Dancer seems like it would be an evasion tank if it managed to land the tank spot, which would be very RNG-based. Given how disliked the RNG aspects of MCN and AST were (on launch, at least), that...seems like a bad idea.
