Need some help getting to 530 collectability.

I guess the only thing left for you to do is try it. I've got 695 perception BTW.

I would say it's closer to 30% for all the times I've tried it. Also, perception for appraisals is capped on chysahl at around 620ish, so as long as you're above the cap it should produce the results you've seen

I would put more faith in something like the following:
impulsive > (single mind if proc/discerning eye if no proc) > utmost caution > methodical > impulsive > (single mind if proc/discerning eye if no proc) > utmost caution > methodical
That would guarantee you get at least one with about 550; each proc of impulsive is another gather attempt. Good for if you're going for counterfoils, and if you don't mind a lower quality to turn in for red scrips instead, then i would use the other rotation i listed earlier.

Exact Perception does not matter, as long as you are hitting the Collectability Caps. That is, as long as you are getting the 115 on a Methodical, or a 172 on a Disc.Eye->Methodical. Once you hit that amount of Collectability on those moves, added Perception does nothing to help you on that node, though it may help on higher level nodes.

I'm sorry this maybe noobish of me but how do you do this rotation with only 600gp? I ask because you have to use 300gp to bring the counterfoil to you. Leaving you with only 300gp to use? Please if you can tell me greatly appreciate it, use a Hi-Cordial but how when you are occupied? I know noob and sorry!

Note that if you get your Gathering high enough, you will occasionally get 1 or 2 extra swings at the Chysahl and Adamantite nodes.

if you have at least 529 gathering and 552 perception, using any combination of the DE-UC-methodical x2. then 2 unbuffed methodical, you will hit exactly 530
those are my stats and i got it 3 time in a row b4 i got my off hand

I for the life of me cannot collect for the turn in to get the receipts, counterfoil is no issue though
All the rotations i have found and tried end with me getting no chance to collect even once
Do not recall my stats off the top of my head but GP i would say is at least 600 with food
My gathering is in the 800's if i recall

You need to use a different rotation for the receipts, since they appear on normal nodes with 4 gathering attempts (sometimes 5 or 6 if you get good RNG on the node's conditions) in contrast to Unspoiled/Legendary nodes with 6 gathering attempts. That means you need a different rotation that works in 4 attempts instead of 6. I'll give you an example rotation that doesn't rely on RNG and can be done on any of the Receipt node and gives a yield of one. I'll assume you're hitting the Perception cap for maximum gains. This rotation needs 600 GP.

Open Collection Window > Discerning Eye > Methodical Appraisal. Collectability is now 172 with 3 attempts left > Discerning Eye > Methodical Appraisal. Collectability is now 344 with 2 attempts left > Discerning Eye > Methodical Appraisal. Collectability is now 516 with one attempt left > Collect the item.

If you need more receipts instead of just one, just keep refreshing the nodes by entering the gathering window and then closing it, doing it for all 6 nodes in a circle. Do this until you get a node that gives the bonus of "Gathering Attempts +2". Using the rotation I listed above will give you a yield of three instead of one.

Nah you don't need to use toil of the pioneer/mountaineer at all once the item is ticked in your gathering log.

Let's say for example you want adamantite with 530 collectability for counterfoils. It's always slot 6 in the gathering window. (so are Chysahl Greens for botanist counterfoils)

So when you hit the node what you do is (assuming the node has no bonus attempts):-
1: Strike slot 6 once to reveal the Adamantite / Chysahl Greens. (node will have 83% left)
2: Use Discerning Eye + Methodical Appraisal. Collectability should be around 172 (node will have 66% left)
3: Use Discerning Eye + Methodical Appraisal. Collectability should be around 344 (node will have 50% left)
4: Use Utmost Caution + Methodical Apparisal. Collectability should be around 459 (node will have 33% left)
5: Use Utmost Caution + Methodical Appraisal. Collectability should be around 574 (node will have 16% left)
6: Collect your Adamantite / Greens
7: If you have 1-2 bonus attempts collect more items XD

this typically results in 1-3 collectable counterfoils items each time.
