A12 can go die in a fire. I hate that fight so much, doesn't help I'm a slow learner. I'm at a lost to that fight.. so I'm going to just stick to doing Lost city hard mode as I like that dungeon.

Shame you're on Balmung. If you'd been on Odin I'd have offered to help you get that fight down. If someone is struggling, then I have oodles of patience with them, and I try to help them as best as I can.
White Mage ~ Sage ~ AstrologianBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
Aren't they making a cross server raid finder or something soon? My biggest issue is it seems the AOEs are too fast.. least to me. I've only done it 2 times so I know I need to get used to the fight. It just sucks cause I know I'm a slow learner and I don't like holding the group back. So I might just have to make a learning party so I can practice in there and get used to the fight. So I'm not holding people back farming that fight. Just feel like shXt cause I have NO issues in dungeons and I learned those pretty quick. But I could just suck too, there's always that. Eh, time to make some learning parties.
Here's a story about me being petty.
I was working on my ast relic (finally) and was doing the dungeon bits, when i got to the Aery, the two dps i was grouped with were a monk and a bard. After the first boss is dead i draw a card, it was a balance so i try to put it in the reserves, but then i see that i already have an arrow there. Not wanting to waste a perfectly good balance card, i hang onto it until the very last second as we approach the next trash mob and cast it on the monk, and dump the arrow on the bard while i'm at it...
I look at the monk 2 seconds later and see that the balance is gone, he clicked it off.
After that, i silently resolved to not give him any cards for the rest of the run, and fed them all to the BRD or the tank, thinking in my head "if you're gonna waste the cards, you're not gonna get the cards". I think he caught on during the 2nd boss because he kept running into the poison clouds. But my pettiness knew no bounds, and i kept feeding all them cards to the BRD. At least HE enjoyed them.

Not petty at all IMO. No one has called me for killing arrow yet on my DRG, but I'd at least explain why it kills my class. I would've done the same thing you did in that situation.
What annoys me a lot when it happens in the Duty Finder is the tale that you most probably have all experienced:
Someone who queues on a Roulette, then do not like the dungeon he's gotten and ask to be dismissed.
And most of the time, it is the tank. Of course it's not the tanks that are bad, it's just the bad players who are tank can easily find another duty after being dismissed. Bad players being DPS can't really afford such behaviour
If you queue for a Roulette then you know you can fall into any dungeon part of that roulette even the ones you don't like. Or at least assume the risk you take and leave the instance and eat the penatly if you don't like the dungeon you fall in.
When such case happens, I rather wait and suggest to other players if they can to wait for 15 min to cancel the dungeon than dismissing the selfish player as to not encourage such behavior.
Weird thing is that they often use the same lame excuse to justify wanting to be dismissed: "Sorry Real Life issue" or something like that.
To which I reply " Well if you have a RL issue which is perfectly understandable, then you can't play anyway and won't mind the penalty of simply leaving yourself".
By then I usually get different reactions,:
- Trying to dig into his lie deeper such as "I can't leave it's bugged, you have to dismiss me"
- Admitting he does not want to play the dungeon
- Simulating or being AFK
- being rude.
In any case I won't dismiss and wait for 15 minutes to be able to cancel the dungeon if it's ok with the others xD

I got my Sophia EX clear with Fluid Aura, non Cleric Stanced out of panic. Best kill to date.

Not really a horror story, I found it quite amusing.
I queue for leveling roulette with my arcaninst alt, I get ifrit story mode.
I see that we have a mentor healer and sprouts gladiator and lancer. Just as the gladiator pulls, healer DCs.
Gladiator gives up immediately saying "oh man, no healer we are screwed" and sits down while aggro jumps to the lancer.
And I am like "NO WORRIES I CAN HEAL" and proceed to physic healing all of us while tring to dps.
We kill Ifrit with no wipes, I guess I amazed them because they started dancing for me and I got their comms.![]()
Why do melee DPS insist on saving LB 2 for Midgardsormr when it would be so much better used on the add dragons? Why?
But that's still not as depressing as the level 60 DRK I ran into in Keeper of the Lake, who never once used Blood Price as far as I could see, and certainly never bothered to use the Dark Arts/Dark Passenger/Dark Arts/Dark Dance combo.
As the healer for that run, I crid everytiem.

My favorite runs are when you are at 1-2%, and you see the enrage about to hit, and you clear it just before the enrage goes off. Best feeling ever.
Did a few SophEx runs tonight myself (catching up after all the NA server issues the past few days). All were really smooth except for one where, for some reason, the tanks kept dying? Both literally got blown off during the first Aero III, and I ended up tanking it because BRD tank best tank. One tank was raised. Literally didn't provoke it off of me until after ate that 30,000+ tank buster...when they had plenty of time to take it back before. Got rez'd right at the add phase, and ended up missing the Eternal Doom debuff. Of course, I get targeted for the PLDs Infusion. >.> One of the healer also kept getting blown off. 4 wipes and we just vote abandoned.
Got bored and joined a clear party for someone. We did pretty well, but kept dying at the part where you need to bait the meteors before she does her Thunder II Execute. The OT was one of the newbies, and kept stacking in the wrong areas when she would do the Thunder III/Aero III Executes. After several pulls, we eventually got down to 4% I believe it was before enrage hit. Finally ran out of time, but we made good progress considering the OT and one of the healers was new.
This BLM though. Quick to say "DPS need to step up their game lol" and then bail. Yet, I watched them throughout the fight: didn't dodge a lot of mechanics (would literally not move during some of the Thunder IIIs, get vulnerability debuffs), saw them laying on the ground dead a couple times...I understand that DPS is important when you are trying to push phases and clear content that has an enrage. But...you can't DPS if you are dead. Don't forsake mechanics to try and push DPS. Mechanics first, then DPS. We would have cleared the 4% wipe, but too many people were still dead, no lb3 for heals, and I can only play as much Mage's as my MP allows.
I think, considering it was a clear party, and we only were at it for an hour, we made good progress. People were learning, and listening to the advice me and others were giving them. Hopefully the two that wanted their clears can get them soon!
Story #2 right fast: Did ST for my Tails last night with an FC mate. During Scylla's fight, she actually got to the point where she did her petrification attack. Now, I never got to experience any part of CT when it was the current 24-man, and I had never seen this before, so my FC mate got a kick out of me being like "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!" It was one of the other alliance's that had screwed us over there--they weren't on their pad to deflect the attack--but nonetheless, it made for a super interesting experience! I really wish I had gotten into this game sooner so I could have experienced this content with it was the current end-game stuff!
