Mobile app for squadrons.

An app would be cool. To get the maximum training for your recruits require minimum 3 hours of free time in your daily life. Sometimes I don't have that. It would be nice to have something I could use to help me with this while I'm out & about. If it's possible to do this with retainers as well, then I'm all for it. I didn't think this was possible until my friend told me what WoW did.

While it would be nice, I fear this would lead to a slippery slope. If you can manage squadrons, then why not retainers as well? And if retainers, why not check the market board? Why not crafting? You know how this forum is; people will ask for more and more and more, and SE as always will cave in. And before you know it, half the game can be played on a mobile (which of course is incredibly unfair to those who cannot have or afford one)

So you're paying 15 a month on an MMO on a computer or a PS4 but you are saying this may not be fair because this would require someone to have a mobile phone or tablet?

So this is a "You people can't have nice things because my own adult game is weak." And regarding kids: If their parents don't allow them a smart-phone (which they shouldn't, because kids don't need smart-phones) then that is their prerogative as adults whose adult game is stronk enough to make that decision for them. It isn't as if any features available via the app would be game-breaking as if people couldn't do the exact same thing by simply being logged into the game on the machines they're supposedly already playing on and supporting the subscription.

Again: cell phones are far, far more useful in more areas of life than Final Fantasy XIV is. If you chose to pay the subscription for FFXIV over getting a cell phone, that's entirely your own problem.

By that same token, I'm not sure that a parent would prefer to routinely pay for a subscription for a video game, rather than routinely pay for something that helps contact their child...
