For what its worth, I got my achievement for completing 1000 leves while doing leves from Ishgard. So the triggers are still there for some things. I also remember getting the achievement for fishing 1000 times while in the Sea of Clouds. All of the trophies currently in existence for FFxiv were implemented at the same time when the game was crossed over to console platforms. As such, all of those trophies are only relevant to that content. That means that the "Slay Thy Neighbor" trophy is for Wolves Den (now "The Fold"), because it was the only PvP available at the time. Front Lines was not implemented until 2.3 (Defenders of Eorzea), so it doesn't count. At the time, the wording of the trophy was accurate; however, it really should have been adjusted after FL was introduced.
That's true, but sadly I'm pretty sure it only works like that for any non-specific content or content that was coded with a more inclusive definition. The leves achievement was not specific to area or leve type. It simply says, "1000 leves," of which there were already a great many to chose from even before HW was released. The leves in HW are really not any different from the ones in ARR. They work the same way and are likely all coded as "leves," so it makes sense that they would work. The PvP trophy, on the other hand, was implemented at a time when WD was literally the only PvP around. WD was also an instanced encounter, not an open world thing. So in their description, PvP is likely coded to be synonymous with "Wolves Den." Honestly, it seems like a bit of lazy coding on their part, and it really should have been adjusted after FL came out ...
Still, the biggest let down was not including new trophies when new patches and the expansion came out. I think getting trophies for savage alexander or extreme trials would have been a good way to get more console players into it.
