I'd love Viera to be added in Stormblood and I like the reverse Au ra idea from Heliantheae. Like Fran, make the female taller than the males.

I'm in the "I'd rather have more customisation of current races" camp.

Please don't bring Elin from Blade and Soul into this as an option. They are one of the creepiest race options every made.
I don't know why the creators thought making the "cute" and "short" race in such a sexualized game have the bodies of literally pre-pubescent children, and then just to justify it with animal ears and tails. What kind of audience do they want for their game?

Don't even. At least with Blade and Soul, Lyns (the race from that game), look like kids, opposed to XIV that looks like babies.

Doesn't matter if they add a new race or not. Lalafell will always be master race ;D
Less importantly:
More customization on current races > New race, though not opposed to a new race.
A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.

More customisation please, a new race adds even less options and more problems (see au'ra).
Question for all the viera crowd: would you rather have viera or 1.0 butts plus more?
You ignore the other major design choices made in FFXIV in that gear in general isn't overly sexualized, and Lalafell are constantly given toned down versions of revealing gear of what is revealing, especially on the girls.
The art books mention the fact that the team is adamant about keeping Lalafell cute and childlike, and not sexy, at every turn.
That isn't the case with Lyns! (I guess Elin was their name in another language?)
Viera.
I need a race I can settle down with and call my own before I start complaining about my butt size and lack of options ;P
Firstly, you're getting 2 seperate games mixed up. Tera is the game with hyper sexualized lolis and are the race called Elin. You ignore the other major design choices made in FFXIV in that gear in general isn't overly sexualized, and Lalafell are constantly given toned down versions of revealing gear of what is revealing, especially on the girls.

Blade and Soul's race, the game from the pictures, was called Lyn and the vast majority of their gear was also toned down ALOT in comparison to the other hyper sexualized races of that game. I played a bunny Lyn in that game and the main complaint I had was that there was hardly any difference in gear options for them (non-cash shop) compared to other races. Most every piece of gear you got was a full on robe with a bell like object on the front.
Tera's elin on the other hand... well, I played a bunny Elin there too but... well, iirc, most gear was toned down... pretty sure... they didn't wear the nipple tassel gear of other races at least... probably... yeah... lol.

Elin are from TERA. The Blade and Soul version is Lyn.
On topic: I still think Hummingway should become playable. But I won't cry if we get Viera. Or nothing.
