HeyBunny, that's a great idea, and it can be in Character creation too that way, and that way you can also change your hair to an unlocked hairstyle with fantasia instead of also needing to pay 2000 gil in game after to use an unlocked hairstyle.

Agreed. With bonus points if there's a tooltip when you select the locked style, and it states at least the name of the item you need to unlock it, and ideally also where it can be gotten from.

If they could also put an icon, like a star, to show you which new hairstyle you unlocked. Last night I scored the samsonian locks but i had no idea what they looked like and ended up taking guesses at which is what.

Wouldn't take much development time I don't think to implement and would be a nice qol addition.
I donno, its not that much of a big deal, quite frankly I just google the hair style that I'm curious about, or any gear that i cant immediately /check.

They should bring this to the Mog Station glamour items and hairstyles as well.
I agree with your first post and also that they should show where to get them. I am not sure when they included this with the music scrolls but you now can see where to get them so its something that is possible.
@Keramory: Well not everything that looks good on one character will look good on your own too. I saw some pictures of the hair in the forum and I liked how it looked on a lot of characters. Yet when I choose it on my character I only wore it for some time and changed back to my short hair because it looked off. So if there had been a preview I would have seen how it looks and could have sold it for a nice sum of gil (got it shortly after patch) or gift it to someone from my FC. Because after that I barely got anything good from the chests and no other hair..
Wait..wut? How many hairstyles are dropped in pod? First I've heard of this. Male and female?
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
