Even if you are in love with Priestly Omelettes or Heavensegg Soups for whatever reason, that still doesn't justify sacrificing a specialization for it. The only way Cul specialization will ever be any good is if they make more interesting food, like they tried out towards the end of ARR. Food that gives desynthesis buffs like Bacon Broth, food that maybe increases melding rates, food that maybe has some other odd effect like increased GP regen or higher chance of catching big fish or gives you the effects of the FC buffs, like they are doing with Squadron scrolls. There's lots of things besides flat, tiny stat boosts they could use food for and any of these would justify having Cul as a spec.

Not really. Just is a matter of what you need, I go through 15 or so priestly omelettes a week due to raiding, as well as supplying my raid group with them, being able to make them myself is a real help. Selling for 50k each (150k a synth) isn't bad either.
