That was glorious.

awesome!
but this is just another proof that WHM is lacking. when the considered weaker healer in the considered weaker stance can soloheal the hardest content in the game (wiht ilvl 256) and has party support on top of that - what offers WHM then? more solo heal? (i don't think he can even solo heal this because of no shielding)

I guess you didn't read the 3.4 patch notes because Astrologian and Nocturnal Sect definitely isn't as weak as it was before. (Nocturnal Sect now gives +10% healing instead of 5%. Asp. Bene and Asp. Helios give more shielding in Nocturnal and also heal more due to the Nocturnal buff. Redraw also now has a cooldown of 30 seconds instead of 60. Draw's duration is now 30 seconds so Draw can ALWAYS be used with Redraw. Balance and Bole also got doubled in power.)but this is just another proof that WHM is lacking. when the considered weaker healer in the considered weaker stance can soloheal the hardest content in the game (wiht ilvl 256) and has party support on top of that - what offers WHM then? more solo heal? Also it isn't fair to compare a Healer with multiple shielding options (Asp. Bene, Asp. Helios, Stoneskin, Collective Unconscious) and a healer with only ONE shielding option (Stoneskin). You're comparing an apple with shielding to an orange with regens. You just can't compare them fairly.

Damn that looks fun. I wish there were more healing intensive things in the game like this.

AST goals....
JEALOUS.

If we remove player skill from the equation, wouldn't solo heal capabilities correlate to how the fights are choreographed? We have seen T9 solo healed by both White Mages and Scholars, T13 by both, A4S by none (to my knowledge), A8S by a White Mage (Mt Fuji himself), and now A12S by a Noct. Astrologian (Mt Fuji again).but this is just another proof that WHM is lacking. when the considered weaker healer in the considered weaker stance can soloheal the hardest content in the game (wiht ilvl 256) and has party support on top of that - what offers WHM then? more solo heal? T9 through T13 has high burst, but mangeable HPS checks that both healers can output thanks to its extremely lenient recovery times.
A8S has absurd HPS checks that Scholars cannot heal and Astrologian who struggle with it, while mitigation that can be covered by the healer but is then shifted to tank limit break strategies to provide more time (and extra mitigation in some cases) to be able to heal through it. If anything A8S has a mix of both lenient recovery times and very small recovery times (First J-Kick into Mirage Drops into Shared Laser).
A12S is similar to A8S, but there is more recovery time and is far more lenient in the sense that there are rare occasions in which you actually need to top players off from 1% to 10% HP all the way to 95% within a few GCDs. In addition to this, there are more opportunities to limit break, thus providing different uses of LB to overcome situations such as:
1. Time-Skip Adds (Healer Add with Half Gravity): dealt with melee LB.
2. Tank LB for Holy Bleed (Cure 3 is much coveted here).
Also one thing to point out for Noct AST vs. White Mage that Holy Bleed requires some for of mitigation. Without it, it will one-shot non-tanks.
