It's really simple all they have to do is make MSQ locked behind the previous stories; however, to enter the zones all you need is the expansion code registered. Inside of having raids and dungeons locked behind MSQ make some side-quest to unlock. That way the MSQ still make sense and the new jobs/dungeons/optional side content isn't locked by story.

Problem is, the story does not make sense if every fresh adventurer can waltz into occupied Ala Mhigo, or the infamously isolationist Ishgard.

That only matters if the person cares about the story,or anything other than joining the boring weekly lockout endgame as quickly as possible.

Personally, I like the story myself. I do understand that there are a large number of people who just want to kill stuff.

I think for HW, they could have put the trainers in HW to start and the level 50+ job quests should have been in HW. For SB, they could add a new level 35 area that has the new trainers and add that to 2.0 content. That way, people get their jobs at 30 and don't "waste" their time leveling another job.

Reading too much of the forums makes me very sad and apathetic.
