Seriously? I mean seriously? Did even bother think a bit of what you write before you write it? Complaining about maintenances which are fixing issues and are vital for the health of the servers and the game? And like people already wrote they even nerfed the tomestones even more so you actually need a day less? And you complain about maintenance? And you have all the rest of WEEK to cap them? I I I don't .....I.....ugh forget it. Here take a Twix you must be hungry.
I think "front loading" maintenance would affect (here comes some Fox News percentage) 172% of this game community! Lol but to look at this realistically, that small group you are standing up for is just that, a very small group of people.
On Hyperion, Monday's have the least amount of engaging pf content and df estimated times for primal jump from being less than 5 minutes for a DPS to 11 - 15 minutes on Monday. Savage raid groups could use Monday as a raid day but most, like my group run Tuesday-Thursday and potential Sunday and / or Monday if we are bored.
Front loading would only cause a stir because unlike the mindset of the minority that procrastinates, this community actually has quite the driven casual player base that caps at the very least tomestones and Alex N lockouts by Friday.
There are "WeekendSoldiers" out there but they normally get capped by Sunday.
Think about it this way: If we assume that the servers are based on the same PDT time zone, they're doing maintenance in the middle of the night during ungodly hours for anyone to be working in.
In short, they're working during the shittiest hours of the day to inconvenience the least amount of people. If anything they should be commended on that and not dropping the servers during heavy load times.

Seriously is there need for a thread everytime they have maintenance?
Go watch movies, play other games, etc..

To be fair, a LOT of us were at Fanfest for the bulk of last week. I was away from home from Tuesday through Sunday.
But I consider "not capping tomes in exchange for going to Fan Fest and riding a real life Fat Chocobo" to be reasonable.

This sums it up. There is never a good night to cut time short. Out of all of it, the time before the reset seems to have less impact on users, most people are usually capped by then. You could make it Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday but you're going to cut short just as many people.
We are given X amount of time to get this done, whether that extra time is on a Monday or any other day won't make much of a difference. Except Fridays and weekends, that would do the most damage.
I understand what the OP was saying, because I was cut short by..5 tomes, which is nothing in my world, but I had all week and life still goes on...and on...
I guess outside of tomes, such as sending out retainers / squadrons / getting in the last few challenges. It's bound to happen. As one of those who do get cut off early Tuesday trying to squeeze things in, it's okay. My Roe will go on!

Reset day is the best time to do Maintenance. By then people should have already capped their tomestones and completed all their dailies/weeklies. Doing it any other day doesn't make sense and would actually inconvenience much more people because you are interrupting them in the middle of their progress. If people choose to procrastinate and wait until the last minute to complete said tasks, that is entirely on them.
If maintenance were done any other time, and for whatever reason it needed to be extended by couple of days, you'd be adversely affecting everyone. In the end, a lot more people may not be able to complete their tasks by the time reset comes along.
