    What about a veteran player who started to level a new job doing nothing but fates and maybe PotD? We already have those-- I'm one of them. People genuinely interested in the game will learn how to play of their own volition. Those who couldn't care less, aren't going to suddenly play better because you forced them through the MSQ. If that were the case, we wouldn't see ice mages or healers who flat out refuse to DPS. And let's be honest, I could spam nothing but Impulse Drive through Xelphatol and it still wouldn't take 60 minutes. Dungeons are laughably easy.

    There isn't a problem. Some people just aren't interested in the story. What you or I find appealing someone else may think is boring anime cliche. It's all subjective. If they're skipping the story anyway, then why do you care if a jump potion were introduced? It wouldn't impact you or your enjoyment of the story.
