Yoshida confirmed there is at least 2 new jobs, and most LIKELY going to be a 3rd, as it's being developed, he just didnt know for sure if it would be finished in time.

During the summer event with the rangers Yoshi teased that the event gave a clue about the number of jobs we'd be getting. That alone is confirmation that we are getting some, and a pretty obvious hint at there being three of them. People went on to speculate what the jobs were based on their colours but that's a different topic.

A lot of people seem to have forgotten this one for some reason, but the rising 2015 event allowed us to access a virtual version of the development teams headquarters.. in the event they confirmed that Red Mage, and Samurai were coming to the next expansion. It's so forgotten you can't even find it on any of the wikis for the event.

Fair enough but just to be on the safe side I'm going to treat it as a very strong hint and not a confirmation yet. Remember how some people believed that HW won't get a DPS class after ninjas and we are going to get a gun wielding healer? A lot of things might look confirmed at first glance, but they might not be true. Red Mage and Samurai are pretty safe bets. So is dancer. Fan Fest begins in 2 hours anyway. Going to update the OP with actual information soon.

I'm curious about Dancer. Perhaps I haven't kept up with the latest news, but when compared to Red Mage and Samurai, or even Blue Mage, I have yet to come across official information which suggests that Dancer may be in the works unless there is something I overlooked.

OH YEA I forgot about that hmmmmmmm, REd- red mage, not sure what yellow and black will be - SAM is black - idk.

I would like Blue mage, but Yoshi has said that Blue mage wouldn't fit the game and would like Blue mage to be some type of game mode/ activity.

Q: I love the blue mage job that appears in the FINAL FANTASY series. Will the blue mage job ever be implemented in FFXIV?

A: I think that blue mage is an interesting job because you can learn spells from enemies, but honestly I don't think that it really fits MMORPG party settings. If anything, I think it would work solo and it would be really fun to implement it as a job where you go around and learn abilities from every monster, so I'd definitely like to try and do this, but I'm concerned when it comes to playing in a party players would put up barriers if you haven't learned certain abilities. Additionally, in the event you are able to use abilities forever once you learn them, the difficulty of learning abilities would be high, and we wouldn't be able to balance the system so it wouldn't revolve around procuring your abilities instead of equipment. This wouldn't be practical enough to fit in an MMORPG party setting and conversely if you are swapping in only certain abilities you've learned, the true image of a blue mage would diminish, so this is something that I am concerned with. -Letter LIVE XVII; 08/23/2014
