I like this idea, but they would need to re-design the Egi or mabe use the primals model to make it really overdrive ^^No I understand what you meant, I don't know if a kit redesign would help, as it stands, Summoner is just a different Black Mage, there is too much emphasis on the actual player to dealing the damage. The summoner, ideally, should be using weak (700-800 DPS) DoTs to build a Overdrive, the Overdrive is activated to summon a primal (Garuda Areial Blast weak LARGE AOE | Titan Earthen Fury Heavy Single Target light AoE | Ifrit Inferno - Medium Single target heavy DoT | Ramuh Judgement - Medium damage small size AoE | Leviathan Tidal Wave - Weak Large AoE/Weak long lasting DoT | Shiva Diamond Dust - Medium dmg Medium sized AoE
With the correct situational summoned ability boosting your DPS to constantly match other DPS.
Unfortunatly not gonna happen, they already stated that it would be to much work to re-design all feet/hand armor, that's why they would stick to a human with beast feature on the face and ears and even with the ears, i've heard there is a lot of cliping with Aura's horns due to some armor pieces not being fully redesigned :/

People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
One can dream though. Not surprised by the Au Ra clipping issue though, as an Elezen player there are a heap of headgear which has the ear slot in the wrong place, and boy is it noticeable.Unfortunatly not gonna happen, they already stated that it would be to much work to re-design all feet/hand armor, that's why they would stick to a human with beast feature on the face and ears and even with the ears, i've heard there is a lot of cliping with Aura's horns due to some armor pieces not being fully redesigned :/
Also, lol to the guy who was raving about patch 1.2x, doesn't he realize that Yoshi-p was the producer then as well?
New race is another good example of something I personally care nothing about. Its merely cosmetic, and adds nothing to the game.
They need to kill PS3 support
EDIT: Thank you, Yoshida!

I personally think they will. I think the ps3 playerbase has to be extremely small. I know in FFXI they kept ps2 support around forever but that was because that was the only playstation console people coule play it on. We have ps4 support though in ffxiv, so its a different scenario.
i'll agree with this. Au Ra was a huge disappointment for me. i was never going to change my character but i expected some lore questlines around the race and maybe a hub town that's Au Ra focused. we got nothing.
i hope 4.x goes away from beastmen dailies and gives us something similar but more on the race/guild side of things.
Yoshida said they would continue the support till the end of 3.X and that they are aware of all the limitation it implies and the usual "look forward to it" (that man made me understand the meaning of this english expression xD) so we can imagine that they are thinking about dropping it but I read somewhere that a lot of japanese players are still using PS3 in oposition to NA and EU so it might be a little bit risky to stop the support of such a big portion of their playerbase :/
I honestly don't know what they could add that would be new to the MMO sphere oO
It's always the same things that we see from a MMO to another sooooo I'm not sure they can still be a revolution oO
