Any MMORPG or FF14 won't die nowadays, just because someone playing 40h+ feels like he doesn't get enough reward or appreciation for dedicating so much time to this game.

Those "problem people" carry that game. You might not come first, but they do.

The only one who is stucked in an 15 year old thinking is you, if you think that "rare" or "extraordinary" rewards would be good to justify extreme, never-be-nerfed grinds only catering to 40-50h/week playing people or people who sub since 2014.

FF14 is already special in a way, that you can easily catch up, if you took a break and that about every 3-6 months.
No other game does that right now (WoW it's more like 2 years), so why do you want to take their most remarkable trade mark feature in comparision with other MMORPGs away?

Third relic chapter can be that you must have acheived both a zeta and an anima to continue no exceptions no handouts no nothing do it like everyone else.
Want something the same ilvl? Then use whatever current tomes allow or have someone craft something.
Not everything must be given out to you just because you are subscribing.

While back in 2.x it was easy to get a light farm party for garuda and use the light tracking sites to identify the best content for light, nowadays you might be the only one at this stage right now. 30 kills Garuda within an hour? Possible back then, impossible nowadays (without unsynch), just because you never get 8 players who want to kill her 30 times in a row.
Congratulations, you made it impossible for new people to achieve an 2 year old relic even in double the time people needed back then.

Same for dungeon drops, who would help anyone grinding for those drops? It was easy to find grind/farm parties for dungeons back in 2.x, but now? Good luck.
No nerfs means also "no drops or light while unsynch".
Also farming for atmas is cerainly great fun, if you're the only one doing fates outside of N.Thanalan. Well, hard luck!
Expert roulette doesn't give poetics anymore and you have to even farm harder to get all those poetics for those mists, books, etc.? Hard luck, again.

Tricky with that materia stage, since materia is much cheaper now. Must make you very salty.. maybe double the needed materia ammount to please your entitled mind? Don't want to make it to easy for new people, do we?

Nevertheless... your "third relic stage" would be d.o.a... maybe you have 1000 people in 1 year who got it. Congratulations, you doubtless safed the game from certain death.
