Any reason you would use Baked Pipira Pira as your food? Priestly Omelette would be better.
Oh sorry thats the Food my FC Member can craft ^^
But yeah Priestly Omelette would be BiS
The BiS discussed in the warrior BiS thread (just switch the axe to the i270 sword) is slightly better than that while maintaining 1.5k more hp (only 1 slaying piece): http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/WCKW.
The only advantage your set has is that it doesn't require any a12s drop, so you can use it to progress on a12s if your group takes a while and you can afford the tomestone.
With that BiS you would miss with the priestly omelette
Actually 700 is the target number for A12S accuracy.
That is a good set, but the reasoning of choosing slaying pieces is very flimsy, the DPS increase might as well not exist, but losing 1300 hp actually does. The BiS discussed in the warrior BiS thread (just switch the axe to the i270 sword) is slightly better than that while maintaining 1.5k more hp (only 1 slaying piece): http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/WCKW.

From what I have experienced so far, Full Fending will be really good at taking tank busters from A12S. Without Grit, you are at the mercy of your healers to help you survive the tank busters reliably.
I usually drop to 20% in Grit with some CDs from the 1st and 2nd Half Gravity. Granted I just realized there is another way to cycle CDs better but having more HP makes it easier for your healers to just do damage without worrying about your survival before topping you up. Different for WAR with the slaying ring if you have DRK for A12S since technically you can have DRK tank most of the tank busters instead. But then again A12S will be a joke in i270s for the minority few, things will die so much faster that you have so much CDs to spare. You prolly will only see 1 full cycle of the last phase in full gear if the rotations don't change suddenly when you push the HP bar to a certain %, like Cruise Chaser where you can skip so many things with high DPS.
I've seen you keep posting that very small dps difference, but isn't the whole point of building Bis sets to make the best regardless of how small the gain? I get your point on this 0.3% vs 1500hp thing. If this was Gordias or Midas I would probably be with you. However this is nerfed Creator. The main tank buster in A12S is Punishing Heat. Here is a list of damage taken from my A12S clear tonight of the 5 Punishing Heats I took:
22,959
16,736
19,030
9,926
14,410
I have 32k hp already with a mix of 250 and 270 gear. The only other real threat is Holy Scourge which I Living Dead anyway and can also survive with multiple Cool Downs. My point is, I get that the 0.3% is lol to you, but the 1500hp concern is just as lol.
The set he linked had two slaying pieces so I figured he'd want a BiS set in terms of dps output alone. The BiS I'm aiming for uses the fending tomestone ring (this is also discussed in the other BiS threads), at least until I clear a12s or get comfortable enough to know how to deal with the tank busters etc.
