The DRK. Flat 250 gear, mostly crafted, with the Sophic Edge, and... slaying accessories. In 3.4.
I mean the OT wasn't hot either and these two were taking insane amounts of damage, but like... I thought the "strength accessories only are not viable anymore" memo reached everyone out there.

So today I learned what happens in Labyrinth of the Ancients on the Atomos trash pull when offtank doesn't tank the adds. One by one we all die. And that was on top of not keeping 4 people on the button.

Is that still an issue these days? I'm honestly curious, since unless you just don't have range DPS the adds die almost before they reach the button in my experience.

Much love to the df group that just helped me clear Ultimas Bane. All those wipes and you mates just stuck around, didnt cry, even kept givin us tips and calmy tellin those of us who havent been in there before what we were doin wrong. Mates like YOU... are the TRUE MVPs of the entire game!

Losing hope of ever getting the rest of the Weeping City gear for monk. :/ I'm finally around ilvl 190 on her, but I don't want to run content with my left over pieces of level 50 (yes, level 50) gear, so I've been trying really hard to get the head piece, gloves, and pants from Weeping. One run, I asked if I could have the items before we started the raid, and the monk in the group said they needed (yes, NEEDED) the pants--they were wearing the 260 Shire pants. Said they also need the gloves--was wearing 250 Prototype gloves.

The last run, the head piece and pants dropped, and again, everyone said they would pass on them and I was super happy. Instead, the tank rolled on them, and won them because, of course, I would roll a 23 and a 29. TT^TT I was told instead to get lore gear and "gear up like the rest of us did" by one of the DPS, but I'm also working on my 240 DRK anima, and using my lore for umbrites (since there is literally no other way to get them), and I would rather get the Weeping gear anyways. I can't run WC on my monk since she doesn't meet the ilvl or gear requirements (hence why I'm trying to gear up so I can do content with her).

I guess I'll just have to run Midas and try for the old 220 prototype gear, but I really just wanted to get those three pieces of Weeping gear... it's just really frustrating...

I guess at least you can run it as much as you want now and the restriction on gear is gone... but yeah. I agree, it's soul destroying sometimes. When the restriction was on though omfg was my luck bad. Lost the body like 6 times because i'd either grabbed like some boots or something beforehand or just rolled abysmally low... but good luck! You'll get it in no time i'm sure

Not quite the same but I lost count of the amount of times I ran Void Ark because I was desperate to get the healer coat for glam by the time I finally got it though i'd done enough other content to build up lore and get that body for my healer... which I love even more VA body was worn for about 5 mins lol

& on topic I don't have much to report, been mostly trying to get my first crafter up to 60 (wvr) cause i've been really lazy with the DoL & DoH.
Did have a run of The Chrysalis that was interesting... Loaded into an in progress, did the usual "Hi ^^ what happened?" and they said they wiped a coupla times cause mostly new and everyone left. Apologised that I couldn't give many tips as I barely remember the fight (usually just over so quickly!) but that I thought you needed to save LB for the tear when that appears.
So it's all going ok. Apart from someone keeps saying "save LB" - "don't use LB" - was a little confused but maybe they noticed someone start to use it? Anyway, despite being told at the start and about 6 times up to the meteors... a mnk used LB3 right before we went into the "rift" bit... and missed.
It would have been hilarious if I wasn't so tired by that point D:
Anyway, somehow by everyone focusing the tear we get out with only a few casualties, I rez a DRG and the other healer says "not raising that mnk. he can stay dead" and tbh after multiple raises and healing due to people being new (not holding that against them) I was lower on MP than I would have liked so I agreed and left them hugging the floor. Sigh. Unfortunately I think they were happy to be carried >.<

1 ranged DPS (me) as SMN. Since offtank didn't pick up adds I died early, really early. I got to cast one spell and was charged and murdered. I was probably the lucky one to die so quickly.

Some tanks still use Strength accessories for better secondary stats. You're supposed to meld VIT on them though to make up the difference.

Joined an unsync PF group for a quick shiva EX run for the tails book. We entered and I was the only BRD with a BLM + SMN. Ecstatic that for once in my life I was the only BRD, I could hear my calling, my people needed me. I happily exclaimed this in chat, the casters were also happy about this. We pull, I sing, all goes well until she spawns the adds. Because our DPS was so OP as soon as the adds appeared she immediately did diamond dust killing me and my people (SMN/BLM). I apologised in chat saying I did my job a little too well. By the time the healers swiftcast was off CD shiva was dead, we made very good floor decorations much to the amusement of the group xD
