Unlikely. Now, having said that, there are ridiculous abandons that go out, but some are reasonable. If your teammates are actually hopeless, no amount of additional tries are going to help them. There's not gonna be a click where they suddenly know how AoE's work or realize that Provoke is really important for tanks. A high-level ice mage isn't going to realize the error of his ways thanks to some chat from a party member. If he hasn't learned to play by this point, he never will.

Keeping at a boss is important, because it helps people improve and learn their mistakes. But, they can only improve on that boss, really. If the problems go deeper than handling one boss's mechanics, no amount of banging your head into a wall will go through it.

I'm well aware of that, and I myself already left those kinds of groups. My whole point is about the numerous situations where this happens on stronger groups who only need to adjust small things to clear, or who only didn't clear because of some "bad luck", in the sense that the ONE person who should not have comitted a mistake (big or small) at that specific time, unfortunately did (like choosing to raise the wrong person, having a sudden brief moment of distraction, using a survival CD by accident/on the wrong time or not dodging a mechanic that you normally do).

And the saddest part is that in most of those situations, it took several groups to get one that's even close to that first one who broke away.

Your attempt to encompass me in your fish net has failed. I am of the millennial generation, sadly the lesser of all 3.

Right, because everyone's actions are pre-determined by the year they happened to be born in...

It would behoove everyone to realize being a dingus has no prerequisite age, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc. Dinguses are dinguses regardless of where, when, why, how, who they come from.

Can't we all agree that stupid people exist in all generations?

Reading too much of the forums makes me very sad and apathetic.

Everyone's going to have a different tolerance for the BS. That's why it's a majority vote.

For example, today I got a group that wiped 3 times to Chaser and then abandoned. The last attempt, we had it down to 10% and it was BEYOND OBVIOUS that the actual cause of the wipe was propellor wind. To the point people were saying in chat, "Oh, that's why we're wiping." I didn't get a chance to type in chat as I was the last one up, and as I was about to explain propellor wind and when to look for it, the group abandoned. And it was something that could have easily been solved on the next attempt.

But hey, a majority is a majority, and I definitely don't wanna play with people who don't wanna be there anyway. Frustrating, yes! I feel you man. But it's fair.

ETA: LOL at the off-topic generational stereotyping. Hilarious.

And this is how the pool of "raiders" won't get any new entry :/ how would you (general you, not you you) do when hardcore raiders are gone and no one was "trained" to take there place ? :/

This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
