Raid Finder is better than Party Finder for Sophie Ex

I just wanted to add that so far, for training I've had a much better time in Raid Finder also. For some reason the people are more accepting and explain. I've stayed away from Primal fights since the first set of EX trials and only rand them once because of how bad people were, and at that time all I did it for was that 3 part EX quest.

Did a PF learning, someone didn't get close enough to the daughter and got knocked off the side right at the beginning. Get a "guys, it's not that hard..." and leaves. Now we wait.

Get new guy, comes in we get to the first meteor bait, Ranged are spread out. Guy goes "wtf are you guys doing?!" argues with a new guy and new guy leaves..so we wait.

RF, same thing but instead of "Guys, it's not that hard" it was "Stack right up to her face" didn't have a problem.

Get to first set of meteors that ranged needs to bait, spread out and we die. Instead one guy says why we need to stand on one side, and another puts two markers down for us to remember. Didn't have an issue.

I have not had so much fun in an EX trial ever. I have not beaten Sophia yet, our one healer had to go so we solo healed it for learning the first phase. But I feel confident I got this.

All the groups in party finder is for farming, and the "learning" groups are asking for you to know up to a certain phase...
Have not been able to even try it yet, very frustrating
Some players will not even be able to try it until it gets added to df, which by then the fight will be considered "old" content.
No idea why they wait so damn long to add it

This was the first time I've ever attempted to do "current" Extreme Primal content. I did my research through videos, watched some kill feeds to test my anticipating of mechanics, and gave it a shot...

Started out with a PF "learning party", that I felt did decent. People flying off the platform right and left, tank busters one shotting people, but we were learning, and got to see the final phase a few times.

Went into Raid Finder as "Practice" and had similar experiences. No one went nuts, people accepted after the first run that it wasn't going to have a shot at a clear, but we took away what we could.

After 3 total practice runs between the two...I queued up for "Duty Completion" through the Raid Finder, and first try got a very competent party that vastly exceeded the groups I had run with. Still had some that weren't too sharp, but it was minimal, they learned, and we got to 20%.

Queued up again, 2nd try at Duty Completion, and we were able to clear it on the 3rd try. Same feel, people knew their spots pretty well, minimal missteps but they did happen (me included), but we came together well and cleared!

Did one "Duty Complete" in Raid Finder and cleared on 2nd attempt with that group, everyone moving as a team.

Consider me a believer in Raid Finder for this stuff

I agree as well that raid finder is indeed a wonderful thing. I have yet to clear the fight, but I spent most of my day yesterday in RF, and everyone I met was wonderful, helpful and patient. A real joy to play with, even with mistakes.

Did nothing but practices for a few hours, then when I felt confident I could pretty much do the fight in my sleep, went on for Duty Completion. Had one group that consistently got her to 1%, it was infuriating, but fun at the same time xD

You can always solo queue for the Ex primals after Ravana during Raid Finder, it is just next to Duty Finder in the main menu and it works similar to Duty Finder in most aspects.

I am amazed at how positive everyone is about the RF and sophie ex! I love reading everyone's comments, it seems like this RF has allowed for players that are not in raid groups or statics to still play "end-game" and come out of it with a great experience!

I wanted to be clearing new EX Primals early for a change and not being able to even try it has been frustrating, lol

well like I said, I've never done any current Ex primal before...and honestly was a bit concerned about how learning and progression parties would go. But RF really gave me a lot of comfort as you know that you're going in with people selecting the same options and loved using it
