R0 and lag synthing, mining, fighting

Hi, first post, and major whinge. Without trying to sound racist, i'm compelled to ask WHY: from 1700 JST to 0100 JST (i'm an hour ahead of JST timezone), that i lag to hell.

This has been happening every day for the past 2-3 months. ... Peak Japanese playing time appears to be hell for those of us in Australia, and some other parts of the world.

Square: are you never going to place servers anywhere else in the world? OR are you never going to upgrade your bandwidth for the rest of the world, ie only Japanese players will only get the smoothest connection(s) and playing ever?

It's normal. They are still fixing the server issues...we might be getting this lantency/lag until server fixes are complete.

And nop, i really doubt they will add servers elsewhere, which is good. Separating people by regions is not a good idea at all since not everyone plays at same time. IMO having a global server improves the gaming experience as a whole.

i don't agree with that.

take a game like WoW. they have separate servers for EU and NA.
i played WoW for 2 years and I can't say, that I had a problem with "not everyone plays at same time"

the reason why SE won't separate EU and the other regions of the world is pure economical.
there is too small a number of people from a particular region, playing a game that was worth putting dedicated server for.

Wow i only posted this 2 weeks ago. and still there's terrible JP HOGON LAG.

17:00 JST to 00:00 JST is a horrible time for anyone in the rest of the world to play FFXIV.

re: Lienn, i said nothing about separating language speaking players to any single server. i mean placing boosters or w/e so bandwidth isnt being HOGGED by JP logging on and off.

The lag has been less intense in the last week, but it's still there. Trying to synth, losing items, durability, trying to mine, log or fish. it's still there. that annoying lag in the middle of doing something that OUTSIDE JP PEAK PLAYING TIME DOESNT EXIST!!!!!
