How do you organize your glamour collection?

I don't. My bags, armory and retainer are all disgusting. I fix space issues by throwing out expensive gear. I'm not a good person.

How many retainers do you feel is enough to cover your favorite sets?
I have a total of 5 retainers right now, of which ~3 are pretty much exclusively for glamour, one is for furniture and the last one is for..well, more furniture, really.
(Furniture is basically housing glamour, how could I not get obsessed with that too..xD)
That's only possible through sorting and throwing stuff out from time to time, otherwise I'd be at 5 exclusively for glamour by now

Do you keep raid/dungeon gear checklists of what you still miss and where to find it?
I made a checklist which eso gear I still had to buy for the glams before it moved to hunt rewards with 3.4, if that counts..?^^
But in general, no, if I see something I like I have no trouble to remember that I want it/where to get it. Then again, I'm not just starting out but am already sitting on a fairly big collection, so it's usually only 1-3 pieces I'm after at a time.

Do you keep similar looking gear/recolors or just one of them?
That really depends. If it's undyeable and I REALLY like both versions, I will probaby keep both (for example, the lvl 55 BRD body & the re-colored version for lvl 60). But when I have to slim down my collection, those ARE usually the first ones to go.
Something I also do is keeping duplicates of cheap gear with expensive dyes around. Some gear that I use fairly often in either jet black or the perfect white - paying half a million everytime I want to switch would not be very economical, so I just glamour one or the other over it

Do you replace the original primals weapons with crafted glowy versions?
No, I don't. I just keep them seperately. Then again, I am very selective which weapons I even want in the glowy version, so that's like..1 for every second or third primal? Anyway, very few.

Do you organize gear by it's type (weapons, bodies..) or by a job (healer, tank..)?
Both.
First it is sorted by type (at least an entire retainer bag per type, for body it's more like..4 bags minimum?).
Then within the bag, it is sorted by requirements - from top to bottom: fits-all, attack mage, healers, BRD, NIN, tanks.
Of course, one could adjust that to the classes they play more often

Any other starter tips you want to share?
At first, you might be tempted to only focus on the "big" parts (body, weapon, maybe pants) but the small things can make or break an outfit and you'll be mad at yourself for not keeping nice accessories and gloves around.
If you are running out of space, they are the easiest to replace though, so if you have no choice, throwing them out is not that bad.
Same with primal weapons (not crafted ones), especially the ones you can buy again for tokens.
Like I explained before, if you don't want to waste Gil, keeping 2 versions of the same gear piece you often use in different expensive colors will let you switch color at the cost of a prism, instead of the cost of a new pot of dye.

I started out very organized, separating items by slot, then color /job..as of now though, it is a huge mess in my retainers lol.

Really hope they change their minds about a glamour book one day, this is one of the few mmos that don't have something like that (of the ones I enjoy)

I just press "sort" in my inventory and in my one retainer. THo really I only have like maybe 3 or 4 skins I use. And one of those is only monk - the level 60 eso top for monk- so I got tons of space. Course my only job at 60 is MONK. Gimme all the monk buffs MONK FOR LIFE

8 retainers. First two blue gear only mostly glamour(old gear), next two are green gear only separated with each retainer carrying different categories (legs arms on one etc) next two are regular background gear mostly glamour again. 7th is green background accessories and weapons (glam). And last is for crafting and misc items. They really really need to look into getting us more space, my apartment is literally just used as a storage warehouse haha.

I imagine my character having a trail of loot on the ground behind her, arms full holding stuff in her mouth and handing it to merchants with her tail. Materia IV GET OUT OF HERE! Firework GO AWAY! its all junk to me at this point lol.
