i would like to share some personal thoughts on this and see what other people think.

what has been accomplished by yoshi P and his dev squad since heavensward.

- destroyed the (mid core) raid community, by both gordias and midas. it really shines by the absolute nothing off mid core content and their unwillingness to create any

- the new classes and new skills, some off the stuff they havent really tought about imo, how many times has astro been worked over at this point. i lost count by now and other classes still dont really feel like they used to and are way less more fun to play.

- raids general:
- i seriously hate the new cratfed gear, as it is not a requirment it is still a stupid choice. were in coil we had a lot off fun farming older tiers to gear up alts and stuff, there is no reason to go back. and since they destroyed the fun in raiding nobody really wants to.

- after about 3 years we finally get CDS reset on wipes (good job on listening to your community)

- pvp : they said GC restriction were finally going to be removed in pvp, but since FF14 is bleeding subs, they rushed this patch out and didnt do some things they were saying they were going to do. still some of the classes are to OP imo and they keep changing the wrong stuff.

- crafting and gathering :
- ever since heavensward you need a shit ton off mats to craft stuff compared to what it used to be, now we dont mind getting somethings. but really

-the crafting overall has just gone from bad to worse ( depend on rng what it looks like me)

- the overmeld system is still pretty stupid, failing 80+ times on 1 overmeld. been said multiple times, again unwillingness to change anything.

- the gathering is just completly stupid with the new script system wich was another really bad idea imo.

- the mats to make the 4 star stuff is just retarded.

- the relic : every step off the relic has been totally screwed up (that basicly sums up the relic in heavensward)


so if i look back at heavensward ( i know we are still a few months away from an expansion) everything is just one massive failure to me and that is on yoshi P and his dev team.

we are looking at almost empty pfs cause most people quit because off everything that has been released (and a lot off us are not far behind).

would like to add one thing they sort off did good, was adding the token system, but even that still needs worked on.

it might be time to start making some core changes to this game and that would involve looking yoshi P and his dev team first. after everything they build up in the 2.x series, they are running it into the ground.

It's hard to tell if the problem is the playerbase is a bit tired of the same old, same old. Or if the problem is with the content not being as fun as 2.xx. I've been thinking about this for a while :/, I think for me it's just that I'm tired of this MMORPG format and want something new(Lost Ark). Still don't understand why I played so much before now though, I didn't have a problem with the game until recently :/.

Well that's kind of my point. The concept I'm pitching is "Pick your battles", prioritize issues and if possible ways you would like to alleviate them. Not "I hate everything, it's 'stupid' 'stupid' 'stupid' 'retarded'" as he put it.

The game is flawed, always has been and has a way to go. But I don't believe this thread is even thinly veiled as constructive.
