    Wish the oGCDs were less clunky in FFXIV. Mashing the button until it actually goes off because of the animation delays is meh.

    WoW's combat feels more fluid in some ways. Hit button do damage.

    Some abilities in XIV like Butcher's Block or Rage of Halone you have to wait a couple seconds for the damage to register since the animation has multiple hits especially when you are trying to snap aggro it's annoying because you know you have hate, but it will still go by, and as soon as the damage goes off it turns around.

    Damage shields like Sacred Soil don't proc unless the server tick goes off even if you are under them. Especially a problem with Garuda's Spiny shield and Collective Unconscious since the AST is immobile while using it. Sometimes you get lucky and the server tick goes off right away other times you have to wait another 2 sec.

    The combat system has already been completely revamped once before i.e. 1.0. Do you really want to ask for yoshida to do that a second time? On a side note I preferred the 1.0 combat system, speed and all.

    Nah, but I am already finding the combat to be tedious because of all the skills. Just picture what happens when the next expansion comes out? And it seems they already plan on adding more because of the controller update.


    This is just crazy, you can have a skill base combat without having a ton of skills. Most MMOs understand this and going for the less is more mindset. If realm reborn wants to get new blood in and keep them. They got to fix the weakest part of this game. Combat.

    Yeah I'll agree with you in regards to the ungodly amount of skills, I just personally don't want the combat to keep getting faster. 1.0 had almost the right combat speed in my book. Slow enough to actually see the animations of your characters attacks, but not ffxi type speeds lol.

    As crazy as it sounds, yes, I want it to be revamped again. 2.0 was a step in the right direction, but it still doesn't feel finished. This game only has two big weaknesses and those are: Combat and Lag. Fixing the lag may improve combat a bit, but we'll still be constantly animation locked and moonwalking around mobs.

    If this was some average MMO, I'd be fine with it (actually I probably wouldn't play it), but a game of this caliber shouldn't suffer from fundamental issues that hold back the game as a whole from being as good as it can be.

    There is some indication they are looking to go over the Jobs in 4.0 and remove streamline some of the complexity to their rotations. That said, WoW went far too far in the other direction and all its classes barely have anything worth calling a rotation at this point. The bar for mastery of a class is rather low.

    I'm of mixed feelings. I think maybe, if the engine is suitable for such a change, we could see better responsiveness of skills. I don't think its broken but I do think it could be a bit better. At the same time I find the skills visually satisfying and the GCD allows for plenty of use of OCGD skills and allows for more complicated fight mechanics.

    I actually love the combat speed and all of the abilities. Maybe it's different for PC but I have no hotbar problems on PS4 but that's besides the point...

    Some classes can feel way less fun than others. Like PLD is boring compared to DRK imo. There's barely anything you have to press as PLD besides 1-2-3 and buffs. Since lv26... But DRK, I love it! So many things I have to press and so many tools, I really like that you have to be involved with DRKs skills to play it... Although I was a baddie before the BF had to teach me how to use the defense buffs the right way..
