All your money is going into FFXV. Thanks :PThis isn't a reply or retort to your post, I simply wanted to add something after reading your post.
Those unhappy about the cash shop, or who think they are taking some principled stand by not buying the Chinese garments need to consider this. Those supporting the game with additional purchases or optional services are in fact providing a healthy future for this game that we all enjoy. By all means, take your stand and ignore the shop, but please stop criticizing the Mogstation and those who pay extra, for extras.
That is the only real issue I have with this. The price doesn't bother me given it was an exclusive for another region and probably took some extra dollars to get over here. The issue of locking to one account needs to stop. We have multiple characters and they should all be able to get items like this with one purchase.
Asking for them to put this in game is laughable. Don't hold your breath.
Look how big FFXV'S budget is. It has been an idea for 10 years now. FFXIV 1.0 bombed hard and ARR probably started making money for XV. It is not meaningless conjecture at all and it works as a business modelNo, never said that it was only going to FFXV but the majority of it most likely is. Either way, we're getting off topic. The purpose of this thread is that the chinese dress is a rip off in terms of price.
If you don't have hard facts you can't claim that ALL the funds are going to ONE game. Don't go about that as fact unless you can provide proof. You can think thats where the funds are going but don't claim like it's fact. Unless you provide proof. And don't be mad at the price, be mad at the tons of people who out right said they will buy it.Look how big FFXV'S budget is. It has been an idea for 10 years now. While I get that it's not literally what you meant to say, you did say it lol. This is why word choice is much more important than the majority of the human population think. Most of the time, when folks say "now you're just arguing semantics", it's coming from those that are ignorant of the importance of their word choice. And yes, I know you didn't say that part about semantics, so it was just me going on a small tangent lol.
Posted this HERE.It is really stupid that the thing is 18 dollars to begin with. If SE really appreciated the begging for the dress, they would have put it in game and not on the cash shop. It just shows how much money they are getting away with right now. It is you pay 18 dollars for a dress that should be 3 or you are out of luck. I'm sorry but why are the prices so god damn high? It is a virtual dress. I can get a whole map pack in a shooter for 20 dollars because it is worth the amount of content but for one little dress, I have to pay 18 dollars. Just why? This is a complete rip off. The most expensive costumes in games are usually 3 dollars at best. I'm very disappointed.
Because these are third-party SE does not have the rights to these items in international and US/EU/JP law to just give it away in a quest. They cannot buy say the Cloud item and the rights outright. They have to buy it per generation so all a quest would do is cost them a fortune as SE still has to pay the Chinese group per cloud. The only way to open it up to us is if we as the players pay the fee, which we do by buying it from the mogstation. This is why in an earlier interview it was mentioned that non-XIV music like Crono Triggers would come in the mogstation if anywhere. Even though SE holds general rights, the various sub rights such as distribution, music, media rights and all may belong to individuals unwilling to share or that are no longer with SE
In instances such as the Youkai event the third-party was giving away the items, which the Chinese company has no desire to do. A basic understanding of copy right law goes a long way in explaining these things. Its not all "flip a switch" and "SE is greedy don't put it in the cash shop". Seriously you may want to look into things with a simple bit of google-fu before making arguments like that. Not necessarily the one I'm quoting but people in general. Several of the items in the mogstation have to be given in there as its illegal to hand them out and our only other free route (given as a bonus from a third-party company like Amazon) we proved we can't be trusted.
It is called a joke because FFXV has been in development a really long time. Lighten up!While I get that it's not literally what you meant to say, you did say it lol.
