F2P MMOs pull out all the stops to show everyone how wavy and flowing their hairstyles and clothing is. I wonder why SE don't want to try? :/

PS3 limitations is most likely why.

I've been grinding for this hairstyle for 4 days now at 5+ hours a day. Before the patch, I had all level 60's on my character and had gotten 4 of the 135 Padjali weapons. Why on Earth they decided to lock what is IMO the most feminine of the new hairstyles behind Potd and kept the other more neutral shorter styles opened up towards the entire player base with no grind necessary for those is rather disappointing. The loot pool for Potd is ridiculously large too. I've gotten so much junk and I've managed to crash the market on MULTIPLES of anything Thavnairian, High House, Survival, Gryphonskin, and the Potd housing items. It wasn't worth my time to run this before with all 60's and now there's no reason to besides the hair because these items sell for peanuts on the mb now.

I've gotten one useful V materia with no end of sparklers and prisms in sight. SE, don't ever wonder why people get tired of some of your content so quickly, it's because of you making us drudge through it 100's of times to get what we want out of it. Put the hair on a token system with the potsheards, running the same content all week for me while others get it third drop is bs, and I'm no stranger to RNG in this game. I understand locking the 2.0 ponies (as I rode the rng with those before they were nerfed), the birds, the damn 2.0 materia chance melds on my 2 Zeta's, as these are and were highly sought after in game items. But HAIR, something that's always been available to all unless its a special purchase in Mogstation...REALLY?

Apparently I'm at 38 done and still nothing. Good thing I got nothing better to do.

I'm just wondering which one will reach its goal: my SCH getting 60, or the haircut. I wouldn't be surprised if the former happened first.

I went into POTD dead today for the first time ever. Got my hairstyle after 5 runs.

At 140 Hoard, still no hair...

This is completely killing my motivation to play the game at all. For the first time today I actually had the thought about cancelling my subscription. After running PotD for the umpteenth time it occurred to me I hadn't done any of my daily roulettes or Bst Tribes or Clan Marks, etc. Things that actually have a long term payout by doing them on a daily basis. Instead of doing those, I kept telling myself, just 10 more tries, 5 more tries, a few more tries... until I finally had a moment of clarity and realize that my desire for this item is making me behave like an addict...

Thinking it over I'm well passed the point of even enjoying having the item now, especially when I know ppl that have gotten the hair within 5 appraisals. I just want it to be over and done with, but what if I'm the person it takes 5000+ appraisals to get the stupid thing. I can't look at that and consider it achievement... it would just make me hate myself.

Basically this, give me something to work towards. Right now I have no idea if I'm going to get the item on the next appraisal or the 10,000th appraisal.

I got the Hair on my third run, extreme luck in this case. If anyone on Balmung wants to purchase it pst if/when you see me online.
