People asked about the possibility of kid PCs, particularly Miqo'te, ever since we started seeing the NPC kittens popping up here and there...probably before really.

Yoshi-P did actually address the matter in a live letter once. No, in short. His primary reason given was that he wouldn't want to open up the possibility of dirty stuff being done to or by kid PCs with emotes and the like. Nevermind that people could do that to the NPCs already if they had the mind to...but that's the reasoning he gave, more-or-less.

Older PCs could be cool. I'm sure lots of people would love to play a gruff older adventurer.

Miqo'te kitten...... miqi'tten npcs now are exactly in the same number as aura npcs (only counting the ones that stand in town 24/7).
