WXHB Suggestion

I wanna use it more so I can see my defensive abilities and buffs while I'm fighting so I know when I can use them again and again and still stay competitive in a fight.

Another solution for this is to just make a regular hotbar, put those abilities on it that you want to watch the cooldowns on, then put that bar somewhere on the screen where you can see it but it's not in the way. (Mines in the. Bottom right corner, and set the buttons on it to be acticates with the f1-f9 keys on my keyboard)

Just an idea. If the wxhb ends up not working out for you.
