This isn't botting, cheating, or exploiting. Honestly, if it never crossed their minds that making it so all you have to do is press X would warrant a shit ton of people to use turbo gamepads, then they are COMPLETE morons.

Its not a bad idea. To each his own i sapose. I think you should play the game how you want, and from what I see you are. So keep it up, and thanks for the info. I may try something similar sometime, keep up the good work
As long as it dosnt violate ToS SE dosnt care,
Odds are they know this, but really... do you think they care if you find a way to make lvling easier for you... answer is no. they could care less its a game... start treating it like one lol

It absolutely is exploiting and borders on cheating. You are proposing leveling up in the game without doing any work to do so. There's no difference between that and botting. The fact that you outsource your bot to a piece of hardware is immaterial, as is your opinion of the Devs - who clearly underestimated the lengths that some people are willing to go to in order to skip having to do actual work to progress in this game.
I'd love to see a system where once an hour, you were forced to stop crafting for a minute or so to stretch your legs...
That makes me think... what's the difference between the turbo pad and a macro that spams enter and an auto-click program?
What is considered 3rd party software?
Isn't the Turbo pad just software that keeps hitting enter, the same as a macro programmed to hit enter, the same as an auto-click program that keeps hitting enter?
It is a bad idea. Playing the way you want and letting the game play itself are 2 completely different things.
There is no difference between botting and using a turbo controller to afk level crafts. And here I thought people were against botting..
Basically, "performing actions while not at the game / not able to respond to GMs" is what's against the ToS. Whether you do it with a macro keyboard, a bot, or a turbo controller and rubber band, it's all the same violation. Of course, nobody's going to get banned for this since no non-RMT craft botter I know has ever been banned yet. If you want to use turbo while you're actually at the computer doing homework or something that's fine, just know you're crossing "the line" if you leave it on while you AFK.
The point you guys are missing is that SE purposely made this doable by placing the cursor at the RECIPE menu rather than at REQUESTED ITEMS. With the old set-up, you had to press down after each synth, which made mashing the X button useless. This required you to use a bot if you wanted to craft while AFK. The difference between the bot and a turbo controller is that the bot would carry out complex actions. There is nothing complex about using a turbo controller, and they've been around for AGES.
Therefore, SE must have known people would do this and they don't care, or they are simply incompetent.

I think everyone's well aware of what changes were made in 1.19 to allow turbo controllers to afk level crafts. The point you guys are missing is that SE purposely made this doable by placing the cursor at the RECIPE menu rather than at REQUESTED ITEMS. Regardless, it's a broken system if we're allowed to level any class while afk.

I think the official FFXIV controller has a turbo button, i'm not sure though (and i have one that i don't use)
You people and your damn morals...
Well, I'll be enjoying it while it lasts.
