Yokai - Campaign extent / ease suggestion

I did mine semi-casually in 2 weeks and I know people that did it in a day or so!

Yeah, I got mine done in about the same length of time. I just used all that fate farming to buy moonstones until they added the 4 Anima craft items. I lucked out seeing the Umagoro chain fate and doing those 30/30 early.

Does anyone know anything about the supposed "Special Event" happening to celebrate the end of the Yokai farming season? There was an article I read via Google News aggregator that referred to a Japanese only video from the FFXIV/SE YouTube channel about the "End of Yokai" event. I've seen nothing on Lodestone about it & my Japanese is as good as non-existent.

Please no. While I still have two weapons left to get, I just want this event to die. Hilariously, for a promotional event, I couldn't possibly be more turned off from Yo-kai after this horrible grind.

Eh, hopefully like other events it'll come back at some point.

Not all of us were able to play since the start, or only recently returned to play FFXIV and therefore hadn't enough time to farm the medals.

Personally, I was ill and suffering through major depression so I wasn't playing for awhile due to said issues. That and didn't have money for a subscription at some point. I have to pull all-nighters now to finish getting 4 more weapons, but drop rate makes it rough and all these Emergency Maintenance times are ruining opportunity to grind. :/

The legendary drop rate is atrocious.

I honestly do think the event's medal drop rates should be raised

Over the 222 legendary medals you need, it averages out to 30%. Mine averaged out at 29.7% and many others in the Megathread gave final figures that were around 30% too. If you were really unlucky it averaged out at 25% and extremely lucky, 35%. I know that sometimes it feels like you don't get one for ages, but have you also had multiple in a row before as well? It all balances out... I got 7 in a row once, I felt like a god... and then nothing for hours

Probably a bit late now, but if you save the 3 that have Outer La Noscea until last (so they become the ones that require 30 legendary medals each) you can literally swap between two fates in the mines that are always up and fairly close to each other (quicker, but even more mind numbing!)

Assuming you're keeping hold of excess regular medals, you can use those as a counter for how many fates you did in total (to save you looking, it was 77 you handed in for the minions, so add that to what you have left).
