Easy? You think this is easy? This sentiment is appalling. You have world first (experts) that are spending 16+ hours a day trying to clear content for recognition. My static, which I love tremendously that consists of very good players, is looking to get our SophEx clear tonight before we even start A9S.

The developers ran into issues of people quitting the game and statics breaking up because the last content was too hard. The front page of the FFXIV Reddit even had a tremendously upvoted picture of a raid group that finally cleared A8S hours before 3.4 hit! You have to keep in mind that SE requires to keep 99% of the game interested, and has a goal of pleasing the 1% that outperform everyone else. Quite frankly though, if you're a world-clearer, top (metric) individual, and you don't find this game a challenge, by all means, there are other games out there that may challenge you.

Pretty much this. Say what you will about the skill level of XIV players or whatnot, but realistically, Gordias/Midas clears were too freaking low and this looks to be remedying that. Nobody should care that it's too easy for "some" people - it shouldn't be "too hard" for MOST people.

Creator Normal is pretty easy, just more unforgiving than usual especially A11N with lethal mechanic combinations at some points which can cause a wipe in about 5 seconds. I found that one harder than A12N.

Adding an inbetween difficulty seems a good solution but fighting the same 4 bosses on 3 different difficulties sounds kind of tiring.

I agree that knocking down the difficulty was a good choice. I used to raid a lot and cleared Fcob and Gordias before nerf/echo. With that in mind there were few groups on my server that did and many of them raided three days a week. Yes, we might not be top tier but people are trying hard and putting in a lot of effort towards clearing. Most people should have fun, most people should be given a chance.

I think the shift in difficulty is in process with trying to change the structure. To drop such a heavy reliance on DPS checks, mechanics are emphasized more. From there it's the balance of how punishing the mechanics are and in what way. Currently a11 and a12 have provided a large composition of mechanics but every one of them clearly defined with given enough time to comprehend and react accordingly. I very much enjoyed the chaos that as the second phase of a11, watching the field and dodging feels so much more involved than trying to maintain a perfect rotation during that one crucial moment. Just the same, room for error I don't believe is a negative either. You have choke points that will put pressure on a healer or a tank, but having an abundance of situations that could mean a complete wipe has always felt cheap. Ideally, I think I prefer having mechanics that punish the individual rather than the entire group. Recovery is possible and in shit situations you can react against someone who panics. I understand having the need for fights to want people working together as a whole, and I feel maybe certain mechanics, like DPS checks, are good in that respect, just not as the entirety.

From here they can gather much better data. They might see actual raid clear numbers increase, and take in feedback from raiders from earlier fights. Perhaps the difficulty was lowered a bit too much, but from here hopefully they'll find the perfect medium come the next raid.

Also now u can easy clear everything ilv 250 there is no even need fore tome gear anymore.. Not even the primal weapon is needed.. For people who says wait to see the clear rate.. Man u can set the difference betwen gordias and midas to 20/30% .. Creator is 80% easier than midas cuz there are lack of wipe raid mechanic and total 0 dps check

So, why haven't you cleared yet, if it's so easy?

I totally agree with this, AS3, 4, and 6 destroyed statics. I'd think that having the vast majority (casual to moderate) players having content they can work towards beating is a good thing. Catering to only the hardcore crowd for raids alienates a large percentage of players that want to spend time in your world.

XIV just has too little raid content. If they had a larger team that could develop multiple tiers that would be great but they just don't. I definitely think an easier raid tier was needed.
