really enjoying reading this thread, it's funny to see so many people being so upset about having to ACTUALLY play the game. poor things

Forcing players to do content they don't like for hairstyle, especially when it's hidden behind RNG, isn't best possible course of action.

We don't see SE gating hairstyles behind savage bosses, or do we? "Do Alex 12 Savage and you have 2% chance to see hairstyle tome dropping.".

They don't, but what would be the problem if they did? They put in a hairstyle as a reward for a new system in PotD. Why should you be handed everything for free with no effort involved? These arguments essentially boil down to "I wanted it but I wasn't given it, therefore it is unfair". Child logic lol

And with current system, some people put effort to get 1 bag, which contains hairstyle - while others run several hundred bags before they get it.

I'm OK with putting effort towards it, but RNG part infuriates me.

Do Extreme bosses or raiding, your effort is at least rewarded with token which can be traded in later for that item. But with hairstyle, you don't have anything like that, just pray to RNGesus and keep grinding - having this sort of experience right after Yo-Kai event? It'll end up burning people up and increase their disgust towards PotD.

I really wanted that hairstyle when I first saw it in the 3.4 trailer. I was like "Woah, I NEED it, best hairstyle ever <3".

Really, I have no problem playing content to get some items. After many hours of grinding through the palace, I was able to open 20 chests. I got fireworks, fireworks and... yeah, fireworks Bad luck is my best friend in this game.

You realize that there are multiple avenues to get those chips without any luck involved? In fact, the majority of them requires no RNG whatsoever. The minigames (cuff a cur, syrcus, moogle crane) are skill based. The GATEs aside "Any way the wind blows" are skill based. Triple triad is only luck based with certain rules. Lord of Verminion is skill based. And the challenge log has no RNG in it whatsoever. That's not even an exhaustive list.

It took me 99 attempts at having the sacks appraised but I finally got it. Keep at it if your getting discouraged. Especially if you want it bad enough. And take friends who dont mind trading with you if they get it. Or put up a PF and offer to buy it from someone.

lol what? you knew how much you needed for saucer hairstyles and you can get points pretty easy. Run 30, sill no hairstyle. man this sure is 'fun, so glad I'm being rewarded for all my work with all these fireworks.

Haircuts have no place inside a dungeon. It was a bad decision. Really bad. If you want to give players an incentive to play PoTD then make it more fun or give minions, armour designs for glamour, a title a mount. A haircut does not belong there. Especially with the way you have to obtain it. It feels totally wrong.
