Gathering Lore Questions for the Fan Festival in Las Vegas!

My biggest complaint with the story is how... useless Midgardsormr feels as a whole. He was hyped up to be this big important guy and yet the Dragonsong War came and went and so far he's been little more than a glorified minion and mount. He feels less like a character within the world and more like a Plot Device and a potential walking Deus Ex Machina.

So... what gives? Do you guys intend to actually develop Midgardsormr's character? Like why exactly does he have a covenant with Hydaelyn? What actually is his relationship with his children - or was, assuming he ever got the chance to actually raise them? What exactly does he think of Hydaelyn or the WoL in general? Why did he not even appear (let alone act) during the 3.1 and 3.2 MSQs?

If nothing else, then at least tell us who's the mother of Midgardsormr's children.

About when Regula 'summons' the Cerulean Servant - does it have a mind of its own like a Primal? I'd like to know if the Empire could be trying to create their own Eikons and how does that works!

My BF and I have already beaten the Heavensward storyline where we are getting the scions slowly back and just encountering a certain group of warriors.

I have a question/statement regarding the questline for Dragoon. If we finished the story up to the point where Estinien becomes Nidhogg, then how the heck is he standing here talking to my BF's character like nothing happened?

Is this a contradiction? We've encountered several quests where the NPCs say different things depending on what you've done or have already met.

This has actually already been answered previously. Basically all quests happen in the patch that they were released in. When your BF is doing the 1-50 dragoon quests it happens prior to the start of Heavensward no matter when the player does the quests. Quests can acknowledge completion of other quests that were 1) released in previous patches or 2) released in the same patch but they will never acknowledge quests that were released after them. That would make a lot of extra work for the team.

Questions for the Lore Primal:
All about Haurchefant the elves edition!

1) We've had a few mentions of Haurchefant's mother in game and out. It seems like she died some time before the start of Heavensward. What exactly happened to her?

2) Did Haurchefant have any relationship with his mother's family?

3) While Haurchefant is called "Greystone" as a bastard, Aymeric is "de Borel" and a viscount. Where does this name/title come from? Did he earn it as a knight or did he inherit it?

4) Was Haurchefant called "Lord" simply as a courtesy as Count Fortemps son or did he actually have a title beyond being a knight? Was it because he was in charge of Dragonhead?

5) Several Elezen characters (Aymeric, Alphinaud, Alisaie) wear a single earing on one ear. Is this just fashion or does it have a significance?

6) Who was Count Edmont's wife?

Is there an official in-lore name for the "Islands to the North" that the Sea Wolves originally hail from, and if so - what is it? Or is it something we'll find out much later?

I just fought the Warriors of Darkness, which I thought were essentially the Warrior of Light and his band from the trailers. Their black mage spoke. And it was not female.

So yes, the Midlander male, Miqo’te female, Roegadyn male, Elezen female, and Lalafell female in the recent trailers are in fact the same ones that appeared in the 1.0 trailer! (Yes, the black mage is the Elezen female from the morbol party, not the snooty male from the Midlander’s party. The robe & hat conceal some of her more distinguishing features, and we all know there was no bust size adjustment feature back in 1.0).

Does this mean these WoDs are not that WoL and his friends? Just a very very similar group that happens to have a male BLM instead of a female one?
Does it mean that some time between Ferne's post and now, the female Elezen was replaced by a male Elezen?
Does it mean there was miscommunication somewhere when the WoDs were created and they made the androgynous BLM into a male?
Or am I just being incredibly unkind to a female voice actor who I'm mishearing as having a male voice? (In which case, I'm so sorry I can't even begin to apologize. x.x )

As for the rest, I don't think they are done with Midgardsormr's tale by a long shot and probably won't for a while but on the bit I quoted, I believe there was no mother as Dragons can breed asexually ei. without the need for a mate. Frankly Dragon biology is quite unique. Its also why you have consort like relationships between siblings (Bahamut and Tiamat) and non dragons and dragons (Shiva and Hraesvelgr). Not needing to breed means these relationships aren't influenced by reproduction.

As to my question:

I am curious on what the current state of Meracydia is. Obviously we know what happened back when the Allag were around and we the Miqote migrated from there, but what is the state of the land now. Is it settled or mostly wildlands now? Was their lasting damage from the Allag war or has that long since recovered? Also, if Eorzea is the hub of Aether on the planet, why do so many of the most powerful Primals we have seen originate from Meracydia instead of Eorzea?
