I just went to the show your miqote and I saw a few /loyal/ or permanent players showing their new exclusive outfit so I would say their losses are minor so they wouldn't really care. May be to keep appearance so they might say things, but internally they won't really care, but instead get annoyed.

At the end of the day, as long as people are willing to pay those prices, it will never change, and it shouldn't from a business perspective. IMO, nothing cosmetic should cost more than $5, and no mount should cost more than $10 and everything should be account wide.

SE doing a test run on what the market will bear. First, this is a tacit acknowledgement that the so-called fashionistas in fact make up a substantial portion of the player base, which SE wants to monetize.

SE is now tuning the rates closer to F2P games (I believe it is 20 bucks per costume on BDO. We will see if SE's vanity player base will tolerate similar pricing. The great thing for SE is that they can always backpedal on mogstation because it is not their primary source of revenue unlike cash shops for F2P.

However, if the market indeed bears this pricing, SE will not give up the additional revenue, business 101.

The thing is, we should not have to ask for it, why would other countries get "exclusive" items ? Because there game is different ?
If the country laws forbid certain things, why should the company care about offering certaon items as compensation ? like you said, SE is a company, not a charity

I posted this in the region exclusives thread and it didn't go over very well, but I'll say it again.

The reality of the situation is that SE is a business trying to make money. They're not giving the Chinese players free things altruistically. They're doing it to incentivize more people to pay a subscription DESPITE the fact that their game lacks certain content compared to the other regions. It's a business strategy, like adverting or free samples. It's to attract paying subs in less than ideal conditions. That's why China has them and we didn't, because that extra incentive WASN'T REQUIRED for NA/EU/JP players, since we had the full package already.

BUT because the community saw them and liked them, SE decided to sell them at a price that corresponded to the demand and capitalize on that.

From an economics perspective, if the price is too high, DON'T BUY IT. Then, in order to sell the product SE will have to lower the price to accommodate the fall in demand, at least if it's important to them to profit off of this. The development time vs the sheer amount you can sell of a digital product means that they've likely already covered production costs, as it doesn't cost them anything to make more. Therefore, if they don't sell any more, they don't LOSE anything, so unless SE would like surplus profits from these products, they have no incentive to lower the price anyway.

All that to say, don't hold your breath.

I don't want things for free like you say, i just don't get why i should pay an extra amount of money in a game I already have to pay 13€ a month to have access + 40€ every expansion pack.
On rift or TSW, I used to be a "paying customer" (had a sub), then it went F2P and I still choose to support the game by buying thing from CS because no monthly sub so, instead of paying 15€ per month I would do it every 2 or 3 month to buy a fancy thing.
Here, i'm forced to pay, the game, the sub, the expansion AND the fluff (if i want to) why ? Because SE has lost so much money on their upcoming "game" than we are supposed to pay for it.

But go on, give your money to Se while using smart words, in 6 months, when they will start to sell Xp potion and insta lvl 60 tickets or outfit for 30$ we'll remember that time when we disagreed
