I checked this thread when it was at 5 or 7 posts on page one, and my first thought was "I can't help but think that calling herself 'MistreatedBalmungPlayer' is not helping her case, already gives this thread an overdramatic note" but I refrained from saying anything because cyberbullying is horrible and I'd never want to call out a victim of that on being overdramatic. There was just this faint smell of drama alert..and boy did this thread deliver °-°

Always interesting to hear the other side of the story everytime someone comes on the forum to complain that they "always get kicked for NO REASON AT ALL" or "people are bullying me even though I am a nice innocent person" and all that. Well, I have not even once seen an instance where the bad behaviour of the other players wasn't brought onto the "victim" by themselves because they acted horrible first, and as I can see now, this is appearently no exception either
Also, what is it with Balmung and their tumblr-connection? Seems like any and all drama Balmung players have always ends up on tumblr for some reason..

I prefer it the way it is. I have a few friends that are switching names and servers a lot, so keeping track of them is only possible through this very Lodestone feature.
There are also some people I want to keep track of as well to avoid them, usually because they did horrible things and then tried to cover it up with a namechange.
Honestly, I do think a certain level of accountability is important; can't let people get away time and again with bad behaviour just because they changed their name

Yay someone who wanted to stay on topic lol. Yes lodestone shouldn't change. If anything I would like one new feature would be someone who has not been reported for harassment and has been targeted of it, can change the name and ID at the same time.

As for the drama, all of these people make Balmung look really bad. That's a loaded statement considering how much of a shit show levi is at times lol.

Indeed. It is unfortunate that persistent cyber bullying tends to invoke mob mentality, and then the so-called "social justice". From there, said social justice takes a life of its own, regardless of how it starts (and if someone means for it to happen or not -- it's hard for a community to police itself with maturity). Though I'm a little set back that the person in this situation even responded to this thread. After all, it mentions no names in it, and is in a hidden website feedback corner of the site. So I'm not sure why someone would need to defend themselves, or try to shame. Why continue if it isn't the intent?

Most feminists want superiority and not equality. Plus most females are horrible to each other, I don't get along with the majority. Even my grandmother knows this. Either way, it's wrong what these people are doing.

I always love forums tales like these. Some person claims to be persecuted by an awful sect of people who are just MEAN and OUT TO GET THEM. And you kinda nod along, you think "Yeah that's horrible" then once surrounded by what they now view as a safe place amongst "Friends" they spout something like this, and it's just... well it brings a tear to my eye. Yea but the problem is when changing your name to get rid of stalkers it still shares the same link. So no matter what if they have the page bookmarked (and they do) they can find your different name and appearance lol. Also if you google the old name the new one comes up. Ya can't totally hide unless you start over haha ^^
