Square Enix doesn't even want classes to exist at this point, so that's a nope.

And even if they did that, it would cause a shitstorm. Summoners want all their spells AND Egi glamours.

Ruby Carbuncle for Summon III for scholar. Cannot be summoned in a party, minimal healing abilities, but has the the DPS power of an arcanist's carbuncle for solo play.

I think the Egi-glamour when it gets released (lets all pray before the expansion) will have Carbuncle be your pet as a Summoner.

I'm no programmer, but how hard will it be for them to reskin the current egis with that of their carbuncle counterpart? There already exists a ruby carbuncle, so that asset already exists.

Topaz and Emerald carbuncle already have attacks similar to their egi counterpart. The only thing they don't have enkindle and a ruby carbuncle attack pattern.

It would be nice to use carbuncle again with smn soulcrystal, or atleast add that large carbuncle next to Ulan (lvl 240 relic NPc) to the egi summoning

Yea like the current egi that is summoned would be the base, like if you lb3 with Garuda out you'll get her using maelstrom or whatever her special move is, if it's ifrit it'll be hellfire.
