What do I do now?

Just yesterday I could complete levequests at a decent rate on my own, level 20 Conjurer, fight monsters and do whatever on my own time.

Now, all of my gear is apparently dated or not optimal, does nothing and I don't have any money to buy new gear. It all costs 30-50k per item at these new vendors, I only just have enough for one item. There are no armors reasonably priced for sell and it takes an incredibly long time to kill monsters. I have to rest after I fight two things my level!

Am I expected to struggle through this for what could take days per level with my amount of time to play? How am I supposed to play this game now?

You could try lower levequests until you get the new gear. I'm sure once the markets have stabilized there will be gear available at decent prices.

The whole "optimal rank" has been in there forever. You went ahead and got stuff way beyond your level. They fixed hte issue, now your "awesome gear way beyond your skill level" doesn't work. They said it would be fixed, and they fixed it. You could sell the gear that's to high for you and buy new stuff.

Getyourself down to the new low level dubgeon outside limsa and farm the chests for gear, you can make a tidy profit on some of it.

Farm mats that are needed now and sell that or if you don't plan to craft, sell your shards and crystals. You can easilly make 100k in a few hours. Also, if your doing R20 leves, you should be getting decent gil rewards and try some behests and get the gil from those.

This game is way too easy now. 5 days after that post and I'm already rank 50.
