Yoshi stated that there will be a PotD-related thing added. But he did NOT mention there being a male equivalent. He specifically said there wasn't one.

Worth noting that this is what he said:

"We got a lot of feed back so we are considering getting our hands on that. That was specifically made for Edda and only for Edda's model, so we need to render it for all races."

That's not actually a confirmation that it is coming, and also strongly suggests that it is something they are looking into solely because people are asking for it.

It's not like they decided on their own to make her dress a reward and made the decision to not implement any male equivalent along the way, which is how some of you are treating it.

So when exactly did Yoshida mention that Edda's dress was gonna be a PoTD reward? The gender lock has me convinced that its gonna be yet another MogStation product (since the costumes already there are also gender locked)

Strictly speaking it hasn't been fully confirmed, but the "we're considering it" comment came from an interview with Game Watch that was published yesterday.

The interview has him explicitly say that they're not going to be able to add it in as a PotD Reward for floors 51-200.

So either they'll put it in as an additional reward at a later date, or make it a MogStation Bonus Item.

tbh I don't care all that much for Edda's outfit so I'm not disappointed about the loss of a dress I'd never use.

I do not get this part. I am probably overreacting, but is he hinting that the male developers do not want to work on the male bunny outfit, so the female staff need to work on it? Otherwise, why mention the gender of the staff at all?

mostly just a norm of how they speak/ mention things in specific regions, like while I was in the U.S Navy in Okinawa; and would speak with the contractors that would come on base to preform dutys we outsourced to the local population. They constantly said "male soldiers, female soldiers, gendered the pilots ect ect. seemed odd to me, but its what im gathering from it. On the flip side. It seems normal to me to have females designed female glamours and males making male glamours, its easier for them to get into the heads of what said gender would want or like. But that's just my opinion.

Dresses are for ladies. Things like bunny ears should be unisex, but things that distinguish men from women should be kept bound to the gender.

As another poster mentioned, I think a Chip and Dale outfit would be a nice male equivalent to the bunny costume. The bunny ear really isn't too different from Cait Sith ears too, so it's good that they're removing that restriction
