Furniture storage for items that someone wants to use again in the future, but not right now.

Also you can do gardening. Sort of. If it's the same as the FC rooms (and it probably will be...) you'll be able to have two pots to grow two things in. Can't crossbreed etc, but there it is still very basic gardening.

why should someone, who already owns a house or is a fc member rent a single useless room?

Not having to maintain a chocobo stable will be nice* and I can get rid of the one on my FC lawn to put roof access back in, because item limit. Yay.

*Unconfirmed, just a hopeful Lalafell. Roof access will still be worth it.

Yeh about that... do we know if it'll need cleaning? Who has to do it if so? Or maybe they're hoping that someone who desperately wants the max exp will clean it (while the other 89 people leech off of them) :P

but we will need to pay a rent + cleaning staff. It is just natural otherwise, the owner of the apartment will be bankruptcy !

well in the ( believe it was a LL) they said everyone shares the stables in one spot and random players can even feed your chocobo if they want (i can't 100% confirm this) so i would think if 90 people were in the apartments everyone would equally be able to clean the stables sorta like a good will things (i personally would kinda hope not but it would be interesting to see) a set group can rotate who cleans it this time or something silly xD idk.

If you're in an FC with a house are you CERTAIN you're going to stay with that FC? This is the reason I want an apartment, because then it's not tied to what FC I'm in and I don't have to worry about the price tag on a house.

That's an easy answer! Due to the way that SE has setup FC permissions owning an FC room is highly dangerous. You can rent an FC room and then the FC can lock you out of the FC house. At this point you cannot enter your rented room. This also means you are unable to transfer servers if you wanted to, because that requires for you to demolish your FC room. That is why I will never own an FC room until that loophole/exploit is corrected.

I was looking forward to these apartments as I was unable to afford a house when they released more a few months ago. My only complaint now is that we are unable to share access with anyone. I was going to share an apartment with a friend but it doesn't look like I can do that now.

unless something drastic happens i don't see myself leaving my current fc ever at least for a very long time, if thats all apartments are going to be thats disappointing, they should have been bigger imo and offer something fc room with house doesnt. SE should have just spent there resources fixing the housing rather then apartments imo
