Squadrons are a let down for now

Some little known MMO called World of Warcraft did this exact same thing with their even lesser known expansion pack (I hear it went well?) Warlords of Draenor. People loved it.

IT was called GARRISONS flkajdflkjsalfkhsfkj! It was a plague which killed World of warcraft's sub numbers quite alot. Nobody likes playing a facebook game and this is what it is, a faceboook game. I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE TOO keep running back to the dumb grand company to send them out on missions to level them. OOOOH GREAT, SOOOOOOOOOOO FUN.

Does the story and/or world space have a need for this kind of thing? Last time I checked I the player solved all this stuff. There is no need for this army of X grand company.

PREACH
Garrisons were the worst thing ever WoW ever implemented. I'm pretty aggravated that squeenix thought they were a good idea.
FFXIV does not want or need the equivalent of a facebook game. I mean, we already have the Gold Saucer for that
